2 The Pitch for Israel The Pitch for Israel is a community-wide softball tournament in support of Israeli families in need. 100% of the proceeds raised from this annual charity event will be provided to our community partners: Jewish National Fund and OneFamily Fund. The Pitch for Israel s purpose is to unite Toronto s Jewish community in solidarity with the land and the people of Israel. The Pitch for Israel will be comprised of 24 teams participating in four divisions: Men s softball, Men s 40+ softball, Women s softball and Co-ed slow pitch. Thanks to an incredible level of community and corporate support, The Pitch for Israel continues to grow and expand each year. Since its inception in 2008, it has successfully raised over $600,000 for Jewish families in need in Israel and Toronto.

7 Community Partners OneFamily Fund Canada An Attack Lasts a Minute, The Aftermath Lasts a Lifetime OneFamily is the premier non-profit organization providing advocacy and continuous therapeutic and social assistance to Israel's thousands of victims of terror. OneFamily is made up of a unique group of professionals and volunteers, who work together to support Israel s victims of terror - the bereaved, injured and traumatized, the young and old, Jews and non-jews. OneFamily reintegrates and rebuilds the lives of victims, empowering them through comprehensive emotional, legal, physical, social and financial assistance programs directed toward orphans, bereaved parents, widows and widowers, bereaved siblings and wounded victims. Proceeds from the 2014 Pitch for Israel will be allocated to a Therapeutic Camping Program for Child Victims of Terror in Israel.

8 Community Partners Jewish National Fund 100% Israel Since its inception in 1901, the Jewish National Fund (JNF) has been the sole agency responsible for the development and infrastructure of land in Israel. Our many programs include ecology & forestation, water management, security, community development, tourism & recreation, research & development and education. JNF supports special needs populations by developing sites that enhance quality of life. The funds raised from 2014 Pitch for Israel will be supporting this important development area. This year funds will be allocated towards ALUTEVA. ALUTEVA is a unique guesthouse in Karmiel that has been hosting children with special needs particularly those affected with pervasive developmental disorders (PDD), and their families since It provides families with the opportunity to rest and regain their strength during weekends and holidays, while knowing their children are in capable and professional hands, in a place designed for them. KKL-JNF is planning a project that will involve setting up fitness equipment for the children and their families while vacationing at ALUTEVA and for the autistic adults at the occupational day center that operates at the site. The equipment will be accessible to people with disabilities and comply with all safety standards.
