1 Friday, August 28, 9am - Brookmeadow Country Club, Canton, MA When an infant, child or adult suffers from a life-threatening illness or injury, every minute counts; each decision is critical and safety and quality care make all the difference in their outcome. For those most seriously ill and injured patients, hospitals and emergency services personnel rely on Boston MedFlight to provide the advanced care and transport needed to link patients with specialty care: such as burn, trauma, cardiac or transplant centers. Although our patients may have different diagnoses, they have one thing in common: they are the sickest of the sick and never thought about us until they needed our services. Often, Boston MedFlight is their second chance at life. For 30 years, by helicopter, airplane or ground critical care vehicles, Boston MedFlight has provided care to over 56,000 patients throughout the Commonwealth and New England region. We are humbled to be a part of this remarkable chain of survival. We will again provide care for more than 3,000 patients this year. Amazingly, what most people don t know about Boston MedFlight is that we are a non-profit organization. And while some of our services are paid for by insurance, insurance does not cover all of the costs of transport. We rely on the generosity of organizations, foundations and individuals to fund the life-saving work we do each day. When we answer the call to provide emergency transport, we never ask about a patient s ability to pay and this year we will once again provide millions of dollars in free and non-reimbursed care to patients with little or no insurance. To our patients our services are priceless. We invite you to help support our organization and ensure that we are able to continue to meet the transport needs of those most critically ill and injured. On Friday, August 28, 2015, Boston MedFlight will host our 1st ever Annual Golf Scramble at Brookmeadow Country Club in Canton, MA. The purpose of our scramble is to have fun while supporting Boston MedFlight s life-saving mission.
