It is a free t use web-based tl t engage and supprt individuals, schls, cmmunity grups, lcal gvernment and rganisatins in Gippsland t crdinate, enhance, and prmte activity underway in the sustainability sectr. G t the grups sectin f the Sustainability Gippsland website 1

2 Step 2. Click n the green buttn tp left that says Lg in t start a grup Step 3. Add yur details and click n Create accunt r lg back in if yu already have an accunt Step 4. Nw click n the green Create yur wn grup buttn 2

3 Step 5. Add yur grup name. Step 6. Add yur grups lcatin. Be sure t add the street address as yu wuld fr Ggle Maps s that it shws up n the Sustainability Gippsland map Step 7. Write a paragraph r tw abut yur grup. Step 8. Uplad a pht fr yur grup. Step 9. MOST IMPORTANT. Click Save changes. Yu will nw be listed as a grup in the Grups sectin Step 10. Click n yur grup name t g t the Grup Page and click edit grup (third green buttn alng at the tp) 3

Step 11. Scrll dwn t the sectin that says Tag yur grup. When yu click in the space a list f pssible grup tags will pp up. Chse up t 5 that are apprpriate fr yur grup.

And dn t frget t scrll back up and click the Save Changes buttn. Yu can als edit any f the details yu have already added if need be Step 12. Nw g back t yur Grup Page and click n the invite peple buttn (first green buttn up the tp) 4

5 Step 13. There will be a pp up screen where yu can enter an address and click invite. The persn will then receive an inviting them t fllw yur grup. Send invitatins thrugh t yur current grup members and anyne else in yur cmmunity wh might be interested in yur activities, events and prjects. If entering multiple addresses by sure t place a cmma, between each address. Each persn will receive an individual invitatin t fllw yur grup with a direct link thrugh t yur page. Other ways yu might like t use yur Grup Page Use the Updates tab fr a quick and easy way t cmmunicate t fllwers: Click n the updates tab n yur Grup Page Write a message in the bx eg. Hi everyne, dn t frget abut the veggie garden wrking bee n this weekend Click n the ntify everyne abut this update bx and pst the update. An with yur message will then be sent t everyne wh is fllwing yur grup (thse listed in the Peple tab) 5

6 Use yur Grup Page t prmte yur events and take RSVPs: Click n the buttn that says New event (the secnd green buttn at the tp f yur Grup Page) Add a name fr yur event and a lcatin (remember t add the full street address s that it is added t the site map), start date and time and end date and time and a bit f detail abut the event. Then click Save Changes. Yur event will nw be listed n yur Grup Page as well as the general events page n the website and peple can RSVP t it nline s make sure yu let everyne knw it s there! Dn t frget t als add an image fr yur event (in the edit event sectin) s that it lks great! 6

7 Lad newsletters r ther dcuments t prmte all f the wnderful sustainability related things yu are ding with the rest f Gippsland: Click n Edit grup frm yur Grup Page Scrll dwn t the bttm t Manage Files. Click n brwse and uplad yur dcuments as yu wuld when attaching a file t an . Dn t frget t click the Uplad buttn and then scrll back t the tp and Save Changes. Yur file will then shw up at the bttm f the infrmatin sectin f yur Grup Page and be available fr peple t dwnlad Steps n hw t Fllw ther Grup Pages There are many grups already listed n Sustainability Gippsland and the list is grwing all f the time. 7

Nw click n the big buttn that says Fllw grup Yu will nw be listed as a supprter in the Peple tab which means yu will get updates frm the grup via the that yu listed during yur accunt set up. Cnfidentiality Please nte that yur cntact details will autmatically be hidden. If yu wuld like t share yur details (this is encuraged s that peple can be in tuch with each ther), yu just click n yur name at the tp right f the page and g int edit my prfile. There is a buttn t click if yu wuld like yur details t be shwn yu can als add in a cntact phne number if yu like. Uplad a lvely pht f yurself in this sectin t! Hw t have cnversatins nce yu have created an accunt: g t the cnversatins tab (first buttn under the grup name) and type int the Grup discussin bx; 8

If the cnversatin is ne that wuld be interesting t ther members f the grup, the

9 Nw just click pst and yu will be in the cnversatin! Grup leaders will be ntified when smebdy makes a pst in the cnversatin tab. If the cnversatin is ne that wuld be interesting t ther members f the grup, the grup leader might like t make an update (as utlined n pg 6 f this guide) and let all grup members knw abut the cnversatin. 9

10 Yu can als start cnversatins in the general chat area f the website and access interested peple frm acrss Gippsland. Click n the Chat buttn right at the tp f the screen Type int the jin the discussin bx Nw just click pst and yu will be in the cnversatin! Other peple frm acrss Gippsland will be able t cmment and get in n the discussin A final nte This guide by n means cvers all f the functinality f Sustainability Gippsland.
