5 Division overview Age UK Fundraising and Marketing We raise over 40 million each year for charitable work and spread information to millions of older people and their families through our publications, radio station and website. The core purpose of our Marketing departments is to deliver the brand platform and marketing infrastructure that enables all divisions to achieve their income and social impact objectives. This includes offline and online campaigns and activities through channels such as TV, digital, social, Wireless and our Life magazine, as well as a customer relationship management system and strategy that encourages multiple relationships, supporter loyalty and increases revenue. Age UK Digital Marketing Team Sitting within the central digital team, Digital Marketing are responsible for delivering the digital marketing function across both the organisation as a whole and for specific key stakeholders. It is our aim to deliver cost efficient, high ROI campaigns to achieve organisation objectives; whether utilising our own channels including the website, social media platforms and or using paid media such as display or search engines we ensure delivery of the right message to the right audience at the right time. In 2014/15, 70,000 regular givers supported our work in the UK each month. The Fundraising departments are responsible for delivering the charity s voluntary income - both restricted and unrestricted - by designing and delivering attractive fundraising campaigns to increase donations and designing and delivering compelling bids to attract funds to support the Group s charitable activities. Man on the moon which was launched in 2015 as part of the John Lewis Christmas advert is one of our most recent marketing campaigns which has heightened awareness of those in later life who can become lonely over the holiday season.

6 Role description Job Title: Current Division Name: Current Department Name: Current Location: Type of role (*delete as applicable) Job Title of Line Manager: Job Titles and number of any direct reports e.g. Administrator (3) Digital Marketing Services Executive Marketing & Fundraising Digital / Digital Marketing Tavis House Individual Contributor Digital Marketing Manager ecrm / Fundraising None Job Purpose: Manage the successful execution of the marketing strategy (as agreed with internal stakeholders and the Digital Marketing Manager Fundraising) to continually develop marketing as a major component of the digital mix and ensure all activity is data protection compliant. Work with colleagues around the organisation to help them use to increase revenue, audience engagement (this may include targeting strategies and audience segmentation), reach of information and to reduce costs where possible through moving from print to online media. Monitoring and reporting on campaign performance, evaluating the success of campaigns and learning from this to test and optimise performance across our campaigns. Acting as an internal champion for marketing, working proactively, suggesting best practice, identifying cross-promotion activities and encouraging innovation. Manage data flow from the organisation s website and the Central Database Team to ensure databases are current and compliant with DPA guidelines.

7 Digital Reporting / Tracking Be the main point of contact for digital reporting / tracking service provider, providing reports as required by the digital and wider teams. Digital marketing Have a good understanding of digital marketing channels and marketing mix to help ensure integrated delivery of stakeholder digital marketing campaigns. Main Responsibilities/Deliverables: Plan and execute the marketing schedule in agreement with internal stakeholders and the Digital Marketing Manager Fundraising. This may include advising, set-up/building, reviewing and copy editing for stakeholders. Fully utilise the Service Provider (ESP) functionality and create new templates as required. Be the main point of contact for ESP partner. Ensure that all communications are clearly integrated into the web analytics solution and all campaigns are tracked and reported on to improve and optimise future performance. Grow the organisation s brand, positioning and authority through the development of relationships with users via marketing and newsletters. Formulating and implementing best practice for communication for the organisation. Ensure the Charity gets the maximum benefit from the ESP & Tracking service providers and utilises functionality from new releases. Work with the wider digital marketing team and other internal stakeholders to create and execute the online marketing plan. Ensure that all communications are on brand and compliant with all DPA law. Create / manage the creation of new brand compliant templates as required by the charity. To be the central point of contact for the organisations marketing communications. Digital Reporting / Tracking:

8 To be the Digital Marketing Team s champion for digital tracking; set up, measurement, reporting and analysing. Produce monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc campaign reports for performance of online marketing, marketing & social media campaigns and other digital channels. Analyse and provide commentary on reports. Plan and execute improvements to or, new requirements for traffic / kpi tracking on digital channels in conjunction with stakeholders and wider digital marketing team. Digital marketing: Utilise your marketing and organisational skills to assist as required your team colleagues to deliver stakeholder campaigns - from planning to delivery through to analysis of results. Undertake any other task or projects reasonably requested by the Digital Marketing Manager Fundraising or the Group Digital Marketing Manager. Quantitative Aspects of Role: Experience. Good experience in Marketing, both in planning and facilitation of set up and broadcast in a marketing leading Service Provider. Strong understanding of rules and regulations surrounding data and its use. Good experience with Google Analytics; ability to utilise to track site usage / marketing campaigns and report back. Good writing and communication skills, with specific experience in using as a comms tool, writing with specific audiences in mind. Experience in or understanding of the use of the major digital marketing channels from SEM through to Social Media. Knowledge & Skills A strong understanding of analytical campaign evaluation techniques. Exposure to the digital marketing mix and an understanding of its relationship to marketing. The mindset to understand the reasons for and set up of onsite objective/kpi tracking. A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

9 Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work to schedules in a pressurised environment. Excellent attention to detail and ability to write focused marketing & comms copy. Qualifications Working knowledge of HTML, Photoshop and or Dreamweaver, web analytics solutions and at least one major marketing platform.
