2 Descriptin The Banner Rtatr Web Part rtates the image files cntained in the specified Sharepint Picture Library. The Web Part can be used with Windws Sharepint Services V3, MOSS 2007 and Sharepint The fllwing parameters can be cnfigured: The Sharepint Picture Library cntaining the pictures An ptinal Library Flder cntaining the images Transparent Text area (can be freely psitined) Either rtate banners, shw a new banner every day r n every page refresh Prerequisites Befre yu attempt t install the slutins yu need t make sure that yu have the fllwing installed n yur server(s): Micrsft Office SharePint Server 2007, WSS 3.0 r Sharepint 2010 Installatin Manual Installatin 1. dwnlad and unpack the AEBannerRtatrWebpart.zip file. The ZIP archive cntains the AERtatrWebpart.dll and the AERtatr.webpart files. 2. drp the AERtatrWebpart.dll either int the SPS web applicatin bin directry r int the GAC f yur Sharepint server (c:\windws\assembly). 3. add the fllwing line t the "<SafeCntrls>" sectin f yur Web.Cnfig file. Please make sure that the line is added as ne single line (n line breaks): <SafeCntrl Assembly="AERtatrWebpart, Versin= , Culture=neutral, PublicKeyTken=8db6b6736dcbda89" Namespace="AERtatrWebpart" TypeName="*" Safe="True" /> 4. frm the tp site g t "Site Actins/Site Settings/Mdify All Site Settings/Galleries/Web Parts" 5. use the "Uplad" menu ptin t uplad the AERtatr.webpart file. Autmatic Installatin 1. Unpack the AERtatrWebpart.wsp and Install.bat files frm the Zip Archive and place the 2 files nt yur Sharepint Server. 2. Add the Slutin by either running Install.bat r manually entering: stsadm - addslutin -filename AERtatrWebpart.wsp

3 3. Deply the slutin by navigating with yur brwser t Central Administratin->Operatins->Slutin Management : 4. Yu shuld nw see the AERtatrWebpart.wsp in the farm s slutin stre: Click n AERtatrWebpart.wsp t deply the slutin:

Prceed t activate the feature by navigating t the Site Actins/Site Settings page in yur tp-level site: Chse Site cllectin features t navigate t the Site Cllectin Features page: Activate the AE Rtatr Web Part feature Adding the Web Part t a Page Navigate t a page where yu wuld like t place the web part and chse "Site Actins/Edit Page" 1. Add the web part t the apprpriate zne. The web part is listed in the "Amrein Engineering" gallery sectin :

5 Web Part Cnfiguratin Cnfigure the fllwing Web Part prperties in the Web Part Editr "Miscellaneus" pane sectin as needed: Site Name: Enter the name f the site that cntains the Banner Picture Library: - leave this field empty if the Library is in the current site (eg. the Web Part is placed in the same site) - Enter a "/" character if the Library is cntained in the tp site - Enter a path if the Library in in a subsite f the current site (eg. in the frm f "current site/subsite") List Name: Enter the desired Sharepint Picture Library name. If yu want t display nly the images cntained in a specific Library flder, append the flder name (separated by a "/") t the Library name: Example: Site Pictures/Barbeque Please nte that Library flders are supprted nly in the licensed versin. If an "URL" list clumn is fund in the specified Sharepint Library, it will be used as a hyperlink fr the crrespnding picture. The link then pens in a new brwser windw.

6 View Name: Optinally enter the desired List View f the Library specified abve. A List View allws yu t specify specific data filtering and srting. Please nte that yu need t select bth the "Picture Width" and "Picture Height" clumns when defining the view. These values are needed t prperly scale the images. Yu will als need t include the clumns as speicfied in the "Field Template" setting. Leave this field empty if yu want t use the List default view. Banner Rtatin Speed: enter the banner rtatin frame change time in millisecnds. Enter "0" if yu dn't want the banner t rtate dynamically. Field Template: Enter the desired Library clumns t be displayed in the semi-transparent text bx (surrunded by curly braces). Yu can specify HTML tags and CSS styles t freely frmat the text. Example: <strng>{title}</strng}<br>{descriptin} Banner CSS Style: enter the desired CSS style attributes t frmat the text cntained in the semi-transparent text bx. Example: fnt-family:arial; text-align:left; clr:white; fnt-size:12px Textbx Width: enter the desired width f the semi-transparent text bx in pixels. Textbx Height: enter the desired height f the semi-transparent text bx in pixels. Textbx Left Margin: enter the desired left margin (relative t the banner image's left edge) f the semi-transparent text bx in pixels. Textbx Tp Margin: enter the desired tp margin (relative t the banner image's tp edge) f the semi-transparent text bx in pixels. Transparency: enter the transparency clr and transparency level. The fllwing value are available: Yu can alterantively specify a semi-transparent custm PNG image by entering the path t the custm image. Example: /smesite/sme Picture Library/red-30.png Shw new banner every day: shws a new banner n every day when checked. Otherwise a new banner is displayed n every page refresh. Please nte that that these tw display ptins nly apply if yu set the "Banner Rtatin Speed" t zer.

7 Open Links in new windw: Opens the target URL in a new brwser windw (See "URL" clumn abve). License Key: enter yur Prduct License Key (as supplied after purchase f the "Image Rtatr Web Part" license key). Leave this field empty if yu are using the free 30 day evaluatin versin r if yu chse ne f the License Activatin described belw. License Activatin Yu have the fllwing 3 ptins t enter yur License Key: 1. Enter the License Key int the crrespnding License Key field in the web part cnfiguratin pane (See descriptin abve). 2. WSP Slutin Deplyment: Add the License.txt file (as supplied by AMREIN ENGINEERING after having purchased a license) t the Slutin at the fllwing lcatin: c:\prgram Files\Cmmn Files\Micrsft Shared\Web Server Extensins\12\template\features\AERtatrWebpart 3. Manual Deplyment: Add the License Key t yur web.cnfig (typically fund at c:\inetpub\wwwrt\wss\virtualdirectries\80) <appsettings> sectin as fllws: <appsettings> <add key="aebr" value="aebr-x-xxxxx-xxxxx-xx-xx" /> </appsettings> Replace the x characters with yur actual key values. Please nte that this methd requires yu t manually add the key t each Sharepint applicatin.
