2 Descriptin The Picture Menu Web Part displays the List items cntained in the specified Sharepint List.r Picture Library as a vertical r hrizntal picture menu. The Web Part can be used with Windws Sharepint Services V3,MOSS.2007 and Sharepint 2010 and cmes with a starter cllectin f mre than 100 "Metr" style icns. The fllwing parameters can be cnfigured: Sharepint List r Library cntaining the menu items Hrizntal r vertical layut CSS Styles Prerequisites Befre yu attempt t install the slutins yu need t make sure that yu have the fllwing installed n yur server(s): Micrsft Office SharePint Server 2007, WSS 3.0 r Sharepint 2010 Installatin Manual Installatin 1. dwnlad and unpack the AEMenuWebpart.zip file. The ZIP archive cntains the MenuWebpart.dll and the AEMenu.webpart files. 2. drp the AEMenuWebpart.dll either int the SPS web applicatin bin directry r int the GAC f yur Sharepint server (c:\windws\assembly). 3. add the fllwing line t the "<SafeCntrls>" sectin f yur Web.Cnfig file. Please make sure that the line is added as ne single line (n line breaks): <SafeCntrl Assembly="AEMenuWebpart, Versin= , Culture=neutral, PublicKeyTken=c1de7e0cbb1f51bc" Namespace="AEMenuWebpart" TypeName="*" Safe="True" /> 4. frm the tp site g t "Site Actins/Site Settings/Mdify All Site Settings/Galleries/Web Parts" 5. use the "Uplad" menu ptin t uplad the AEMenu.webpart file. Autmatic Installatin 1. Unpack the AEMenuWebpart.wsp and Install.bat (r install2010.bat) files frm the Zip Archive and place the 2 files nt yur Sharepint Server. 2. Add the Slutin by either running Install.bat (fr Sharepint 2007) r install2010.bat fr Sharepint 2010) by manually entering: stsadm - addslutin -filename AEMenuWebpart.wsp 3. Deply the slutin by navigating with yur brwser t Central Administratin > System Settings > Farm Management > Manage farm slutins :

3 4. Yu shuld nw see the AEMenuWebpart.wsp in the farm s slutin stre: Click n AEMenuWebpart.wsp t deply the slutin:

Prceed t activate the feature by navigating t the Site Actins/Site Settings page in yur tp-level site: Chse Site cllectin features t navigate t the Site Cllectin Features page: Activate the AE Picture Menu Web Part feature Adding the Web Part t a Page Navigate t a page where yu wuld like t place the web part and chse "Site Actins/Edit Page" 1. Add the web part t the apprpriate zne. The web part is listed in the "Amrein Engineering" gallery sectin :

5 Web Part Cnfiguratin Cnfigure the fllwing Web Part prperties in the Web Part Editr "Miscellaneus" pane sectin as needed: Site Name: Enter the name f the site that cntains the Menu Picture Library: - leave this field empty if the Library is in the current site (eg. the Web Part is placed in the same site) - enter a "/" character if the Library is cntained in the tp site - enter a path if the Library in in a subsite f the current site (eg. in the frm f "current site/subsite") List Name: Enter the desired Sharepint List r Picture Library name. Example: Menus Please nte that if yu specify a List, the menu pictures are defined as List item attachments. If yu want t display nly the icns cntained in a specific Library flder, append the flder name (separated by a "/") t the Library name: Examples: Menu Pictures/Teamsite Menu Pictures/Teamsite/Business

6 View Name: ptinally enter the desired List View f the list specified abve. A List View allws yu t specify specific data filtering and srting. Please nte that yu need t select the "Title" and "URL" clumns when defining the view. Leave this field empty if yu want t use the List default view. Menu Picture Field Name: enter the List/Library field name that cntains the picture URL. Enter FileRef if yu are using a Picture Library. Leave this field empty if yu want the web part t use the picture file attached t the List item. Yu can either create yur wn icn cllectin r use the existing "Metr" icn cllectin cntained in the Zip file dwnlad which cntais the "Icns 48x48" flder (see Preview). T create yur wn "Metr" style icns, we recmmend t use the free Metr Studi 1 sftware frm Syncfusin which can be dwnladed frm the Syncfusin web site Menu Title Field Name: enter the List/Library field name that cntains the menu item title (Default:Title) Menu Descriptin Field Name: enter the ptinal List/Library field name that cntains the menu item descriptin Menu URL Field Name: enter the List/Library field name that cntains the menu item URL Menu Layut: chse ne f the fllwing 3 menu layuts: - vertical: display the icns and the menu title laid-ut vertically - vertical Icns nly: display just the icns laid-ut vertically - hrizntal Icns nly: display just the icns laid-ut hrizntally Open Link in new windw: pens the menu link either in a new brwser windw r in the same brwser windw Picture Width: enter the desired picture width in pixels Menu CSS Style: enter the desired web part cntainer CSS style Example: width:300px;backgrund-clr:range Icn CSS Style: enter the desired menu icn CSS style Example: padding-left:6px Title CSS Style: enter the desired menu title CSS style Example: fnt:14pt Sege UI;clr:white Item CSS Style: enter the desired menu item CSS style Example: padding-left:6px;clr:black;brder-bttm:1px slid red Web Part Header: enter the ptinal header text. Leave this field empty if yu are using the free 30 day evaluatin versin r if yu chse ne f the License Activatin described belw. License Activatin Yu have the fllwing 3 ptins t enter yur License Key: 1. Enter the License Key int the crrespnding License Key field in the web part cnfiguratin pane (See descriptin abve). 2. WSP Slutin Deplyment: Add the License.txt file (as supplied by AMREIN ENGINEERING after having purchased a license) t the Slutin at the fllwing lcatin: c:\prgram Files\Cmmn Files\Micrsft Shared\Web Server Extensins\14\template\features\AEMenuWebpart 3. Manual Deplyment: Add the License Key t yur web.cnfig (typically fund at c:\inetpub\wwwrt\wss\virtualdirectries\80) <appsettings> sectin as fllws: <appsettings>.. <add key="aelr" value="aelr-x-xxxxx-xxxxx-xx-xx" /> </appsettings> Replace the x characters with yur actual key values. Please nte that this methd requires yu t manually add the key t each Sharepint applicatin.
