3 Scial Media Example Wrkflws The Vantage Scial Media Cnnectr example wrkflw package includes fur (4) wrkflws that demnstrate hw Vantage can be used t deply t Scial Media. Ingest int Scial Media Catalg wrkflw This wrkflw is used t register media assets int a Vantage Catalg Media assets cntained within Vantage Catalgs are used in cnjunctin with Vantage s Wrkflw Prtal Receive wrkflw that deplys t all Scial Media sites This is the wrkflw that des all f the Scial Media Deplyments. Jbs can be submitted t this wrkflw By using the Wrkflw Prtal r Pipeline Cntrl fr Windws applicatin Or via a Frward actin used in the Watch/Assciate and Wrkrder wrkflw examples. Watch and Assciate This wrkflw watches fr a media file and an assciated XML metadata file. When the media file and assciated XML metadata file are acquired the wrkflw is frwarded t the Receive wrkflw fr prcessing. Fr mre detailed descriptins f these example wrkflws refer t the Vantage Scial Media Applicatin Nte lcated n the Telestream Vantage Supprt web pages - Installing and Using the Scial Media Example Wrkflws Befre installing the example wrkflws yu will need a Vantage server with an active Vantage license (see minimum requirements abve). If yu d nt currently have a Vantage server with an active license, dwnlad the apprpriate versin f Vantage (and any required Update Packs) frm Telestream s Vantage dwnlad page, and request an evaluatin license frm Telestream. Installatin prcess: T lad all the required Vantage items, media files and metadata carefully fllw these steps. Preparing yur Vantage Server t run Scial Media Example wrkflws 1. Create a default rigin flder The preferred flder is D:\VantageScialMedia. This will be the based flder used by the rigin actins f the Ingest t Catalg, Watch & Assciate and Wrkrder wrkflws. 2. Cpy the Scial Media Example Wrkflw ZIP file nt a Vantage Server Unzip the Scial Media Example Wrkflw ZIP int a lcal flder; preferable n a Media drive such as a Lightspeed s D:/ drive. 3. Open the Vantage Management Cnsle (VMC) n the Vantage server Create a Catalg: Frm VMC->Catalgs, create a new Catalg named - Scial Media

4 Imprt all Wrkflws: Frm VMC->Wrkflw Design Items->Vantage Wrkflws, imprt all wrkflws by selecting the arrw next t the Imprt icn, select Imprt Wrkflw(s). Select all wrkflw files cntained in the Wrkflw->Scial Media flder extracted frm Scial Media Example Wrkflw ZIP file. Frm the Imprt Wrkflw(s) dialg, check the Use flder name bx, and then click OK. The Scial Media categry and, all Labels and mst f the Variables are autmatically added. Frm VMC->Wrkflw Design Items- >Variables, imprt the variable file lcated in the General Files -> Variables flder extracted frm Scial Media Example Wrkflw ZIP file. Frm VMC->Wrkflw Design Items->Style Sheets, add the XSL file lcated in the WatchAssciate\Style Sheet XSL flder extracted frm Scial Media Example Wrkflw ZIP file. Rename the new style sheet ScialMedia. Frm VMC->Applicatin Cnfiguratins->Wrkflw Prtal, imprt the Prtal file lcated in the Ingest2ScialMediaCatalg\Scial Media Wrkflw Prtal flder extracted frm Scial Media Example Wrkflw ZIP file. Frm VMC->Fulfillment Schemes->Wrkrder Schemes, imprt the file lcated in the Wrkrder\Wrkrder Schema flder extracted frm Scial Media Example Wrkflw ZIP file. Using the Example Wrkflws After installing all f the Example Wrkflw items as described abve there are just a few small details t perfrm befre yu re ready t start using Vantage s Scial Media Cnnectr example wrkflws. Setting up yur Settings and prepare yur Message actins Setup an server using Settings & Optins within the Vantage Management Cnsle. After yu have setup an server, g t the three (3) Message actins cntained within the Receive wrkflw and enter apprpriate t and frm addresses. Preparing the Deply actin t cnnect t Scial Media accunts Befre yu can begin sending media t Scial Media yu must first lgin and give Vantage the authrity t uplad t yur Scial Media accunts. Refer t the Vantage Scial Media Cnnectr Applicatin nte, lcated at - fr the details n hw t btain a security cde fr each f the three (3) Scial Media Deply actins in the Receive wrkflw. Ingest t Scial Media Catalg example wrkflw T use the Wrkflw Prtal and submit media and metadata t the Receive example wrkflw yu must first prepare the Register actin within this wrkflw by adding the Scial Media catalg.

T submit t this wrkflw cpy the sample surce media file, ScialMedia.mp4, included in the Example Wrkflw Package s General Files\Media Files flder, int the apprpriate flder r use the Vantage Wrkflw Designer t submit the file manually. This wrkflw requires the additin f Vantage Metadata Cnversin (V-METADATA-SW) ptin. Wrkrder example wrkflw If yur default rigin flder is nt using the base D:\VantageScialMedia flder as described abve, yu must mdify the Wrkrder actin t mnitr a flder f yur chice. The Scialmedia.txt wrkrder file cntains a path t the media file (ScialMedia.mp4) prvided in the Example Wrkflw Package s. This path must be changed t the actual lcatin f the ScialMedia.mp4 n yur system. The Wrkrder file can be fund in the Example Package in the Wrkrder\Wrkrder CSV flder. T submit t this wrkflw cpy the test Wrkrder text file, ScialMedia.txt, included in the Example Wrkflw Package s Wrkrder\Wrkrder CSV flder, int the apprpriate mnitred flder r use the Vantage Wrkflw Designer t submit the Wrkrder text file manually.
