Artistry Students will be able t synthesize their knwledge f technical skills, creative imaginatin and aesthetic knwledge in preparatin fr perfrmance, emphasizing the elements f musicality, phrasing, and characterizatin. Physicality Students will execute chregraphy with clarity, energy, athleticism, and breath, utilizing a basic understanding f anatmical principles and dance alignment. Dispsitin Students will practice the craft f dance with a disciplines and self-mtivated apprach. Student will be able t cllabrate and wrk as part f a team. Students will be fluent in dance vcabulary, terminlgy, and prfessinal standards and prtcl Drama (BFA): Schl f Drama at UNCSA trains talented yung men and wmen t be exciting, versatile and accmplished prfessinals. The schl emphasizes classical values in its training t meet a well-recgnized demand fr actrs t be technically skilled and creatively inspired. The SLOs include: The student will acquire a wrking knwledge f the prfessin and expectatins f the industry, including but nt limited t auditin techniques and etiquette, the current and ever changing uses f technlgy, casting directr and agent relatinships, prfessinal prtcl in rehearsal and perfrmance situatins, maintaining psitive prfessinal relatinships and advancing a career in an ethical and creative manner. Critical Analysis The student will demnstrate the ability t transfrm int character by analyzing dramatic material and applying the apprpriate learned skills in rder t bring that material t a full realizatin in the acting space. The student will demnstrate kinesthetic awareness by demnstrating dance skills, stage cmbat skills and theatre mvement skills. The student will shw increased flexibility and range in the vcal instrument using a variety f accents and dialects and by perfrming in heightened and classical language as well as the incrpratin f singing techniques. The student will demnstrate the ability t integrate acting techniques and apprpriate musical styles in studi and perfrmance prjects.
