1 McLAREN ASSOCIATES LIMITED JOB TITLE: Recruitment Consultant REPORTS TO: Directors EFFECTIVE DATE: January 2015 PURPOSE OF POSITION To develop McLaren Associates Limited business in order to both maintain and increase market share by providing an effective and professional service to new and existing clients. OBJECTIVES KEY RESULT AREA ACCOUNTABILITIES KEY TASKS Client Development / Maintenance Develops new clients and effectively services existing clients in order to achieve the set company targets Use sales, business development, networking and marketing techniques in order to identify and attract business from client companies Maintain a strong knowledge of the Wellington marketplace Visit clients to build and develop relationships Develop a good understanding of client companies, their industry, what they do and their work culture and environment Identify opportunities to provide HR consulting services to client companies
2 Recruitment Assignments Carries out the complete end to end recruitment process for each assignment, ensuring the clients and candidates needs are met Obtain thorough job briefs and clearly outline the McLaren Associates process to the client Present advertising options to the client and obtain their approval for the agreed strategy Write and place appropriate advertising to source new candidates for available vacancies, ensuring ads are professional and meet Human Rights Legislation Conduct thorough searches of candidate database and other available tools for each assignment and contact suitable candidates accordingly Telephone screen and interview candidates in line with client defined competencies and skills Compile professional candidate reports with detailed Consultant comments to be presented to the client. Conduct verbal references for final client shortlisted candidate(s) Liaise with clients and candidates regarding interview times, feedback and offers Invoice clients and generate relevant letters and feedback forms Organise letters of congratulations and feedback forms for successful candidates Action all client queries promptly throughout the recruitment process Provide timely and empathetic explanation to unsuccessful candidates Manage and conduct follow up with client and candidate in relation to all successfully placed roles. 1st day, 1st month, 2nd month, 3rd month and 6 th month if appropriate
3 Candidate Care / Management Database Management HR Consulting Internal Communication / Relationships General Delivers the highest level of candidate care, demonstrates best practice and markets McLaren Associates as a desirable company for candidates to work with Actively maintains the recruitment database to ensure clarity and consistency of information regarding candidate and client information Provides HR consulting services to client organisations and develops new opportunities Develops strong internal relationships with all staff within McLaren Associates to identify and allow for continual improvement and opportunities to enhance the McLaren Associates brand Build a talent pipeline of prospective candidates for future vacancies Undertake general candidate interviews where time permits Ensure database is kept up to date in regards to all candidate and client interaction e.g. client visits, telemarketing, rate agreements, service calls Enter all pertinent client information into the system e.g. organisation charts, contact details Enter all pertinent candidate information into the system e.g. availability, job related comments, service calls Ensure all relevant documents are attached to client, candidate and vacancy records e.g. CVs, position descriptions, advertisements, proposals Ensure that clients are aware that McLaren Associates provides HR consulting services in addition to end to end recruitment services Undertake HR consulting work for client companies e.g. write job descriptions, job evaluation, job sizing, change management Actively participate in company meetings Communicate openly in regards to clients, candidates and current activity Make suggestions for improvements Attend and initiate joint client visits with other Consultants as required Contribute to the preparation of RFPs Other duties as directed by the Directors
4 PERSON PROFILE An experienced recruiter with an enviable track record of success, ideally at a senior level A commitment to quality and the highest level of candidate care Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong relationship building skills at all levels A high level of initiative, proactivity and flexibility Well developed commercial acumen A good understanding of the Wellington marketplace with an already established network Someone that is highly consultative, genuine and possesses a high level of integrity Creativity and innovation A positive contribution to our workplace culture
5 COMPANY STANDARDS McLaren Associates staff must always present themselves in a professional manner and in accordance with the company dress policy. Staff should always monitor their language and conduct around the office. It is particularly important to note the noise levels as other Consultants may be on phone calls to clients or candidates. Work areas should be as neat and tidy as possible. McLaren Associates requires all staff to be flexible in their attitudes. We should all be prepared to pitch in, as and when necessary as we all rely on each other to be successful. There is no such thing as a mistake within McLaren Associates but instead what we call learning and development opportunities. We encourage open communication between all Consultants so that we can learn from each other. All feedback should be positive and relayed in a constructive manner. Cover-ups will not be accepted as they impact on our clients and candidates and do not foster the levels of trusts we need to have with our clients. All spending of company funds must be approved by a Director of the company prior to the cost being incurred. All client advertising is to be client paid.
6 KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS MONTHLY EXPECTED ACTIVITY LEVELS: Meet / exceed monthly revenue targets as per employment agreement (team commission structure) Attend 5 visits per fortnight. Make a minimum of 4 new contacts within existing or new business each month Telemarketing calls 25 per month to both new and existing clients Candidate interviews dependent on active roles and available general candidates Clients with active roles to receive weekly contact (or as stipulated by the client) All candidates to undergo the full McLaren Associates recruitment process prior to representation to clients to ensure clarity of work history and role suitability All placed candidates must have two fully completed verbal references All candidates put forward for a role to receive timely updates on role status and all unsuccessful candidates to be aware of what McLaren Associates will do for them going forward All interviewed candidates to be placed on the monthly contact cycle to update their job status All activity is updated in the database on a daily basis All post-placement activity is completed and all clients and candidates are contacted regularly, particularly throughout the guarantee period Feedback received from candidates and clients with regards to their dealings with McLaren Associates is positive and there are no complaints received - 90% of clients are willing to utilise McLaren Associates service again There is open communication amongst the team and any concerns are addressed immediately Outstanding accounts are recovered within one month from due date
