6 YOUR TEAM THE GRANDE PRAIRIE STORM 2015/16 is a big year for the Peace Region s only Alberta Junior Hockey League team, as we mark our 20th Anniversary in the region. Our history includes many accomplishments, including league attendance records, an 11% share of the 16 team league attendance, two championships, and hosting the national championship RBC Cup. Through promoting educational and athletic advancement, our players have gone on to CIS, NCAA, American and National Hockey Leagues, and to be strong pillars in their communities for years to come. The Storm is a volunteer-driven, non-profit operation, established by a group of community-minded people in 1995 under the banner of OUR FANS ARE DEDICATED with a total attendance of nearly 700,000 since

7 the Swan City Hockey Association. Our fans are dedicated, with a total attendance of nearly 700,000 since 2004, making the Storm the Peace Region s most popular winter activity.
