Enterprise Agreement: Indigo Shire Council s Enterprise Agreement 2015-17. The agreement is available at www.fairwork.gov.au or by emailing employment@indigoshire.vic.gov.au Classification: This position has been classified Band 6 Salary: Payment Details: Superannuation: Qualifying Period: Annual Leave: Other Leave: Reference, Police and Qualifications Check: Band 6 - $71,515.27 - $78,108.19 pa pro rata Salary is paid on a fortnightly basis into a nominated bank account by direct bank deposit. In addition to the above salary, Council will contribute 9.5% of salary to Vision Super or another complying superannuation fund as nominated by the employee if earnings are in excess of $450 per month. Please note all payments to Superannuation funds other than Vision Super will be made via a Superannuation Clearing House. This position will be subjected to a six (6) month qualifying period. Four (4) weeks annual leave per annum (pro-rata) Other leave entitlements are listed in the Indigo Shire Council Enterprise Agreement 2015-17. POSITION DESCRIPTION Coordinator Library Services DATE: December 2015 IMCUMBENT: CORPORATE UNIT: Vacant Corporate Services CLASSIFICATION: Indigo Shire Council Enterprise Agreement 2015-2017 EMPLOYMENT STATUS: AUTHORISED BY: Band 6 Part Time 30 hours per week Manager Organisational Development POSITION OBJECTIVE/S Implement the strategic plan to drive innovative vision and deliver ongoing development that is in line with the change agenda for Indigo Shire libraries Develop and deliver best practice, community responsive library facilities Build a customer-centric culture based on technical innovation, continuous improvement and increased collaboration across the organisation and the community Manage the day-to-day Library functions throughout the Shire in an efficient and professional manner including the best and most effective use of resources KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Operational Oversee all branch operations and supervise Library staff (including rostering) to achieve a high standard of internal and external customer service Monitor delivery performance and initiate process for continuous service improvement Oversee training for Library staff including the induction of new staff, the development and review of in-house training programs/initiatives, and coordinate external training Monitor and maintain the budget, including analysis of budgetary variations and the follow-up and resolution of matters required Build strategic partnerships and networks to ensure an integrated service system Generate applicable statistics & produce quarterly reports to record progress & outcomes Source and submit funding applications as required Identify and implement relevant IT based innovations Facilitate system generated reports to meet reporting requirements 3

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Qualified Librarian and eligible for professional membership of ALIA Relevant experience (> 4 years) in Library programs preferably in local government Current Victorian Driver s Licence or state equivalent Experience in establishing strategic plans and managing multiple projects and departments Knowledge of local government processes SELECTION CRITERIA Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team across multiple locations, including at least 3 years in a leadership role Passion, dedication and a proven track record for delivering a first class library experience Well-developed project management skills and experience Ability to engage with and respond to a diverse range of stakeholders, including predicting and responding to their changing needs Demonstrated administration and budget experience across a complex business unit 7
