JOB SCRIPTN Job Title: Responsible to: Payroll and HR Transactional Manager xecutive irector HR 1. Job Purpose: Provide a professional solution focused HR, Payroll and Pension transactional service across the group. 2. Key Responsibilities: 2.1 Make effective use of information technology in the delivery of an accurate service, including the maintenance of computerised records. 2.2 evelop the itrent system to make the best use of it s capabilities to improve the provision of data to managers and self service to staff. 2.3 nsure the timely payment of salaries and other payments to the group s staff. 2.4 Work with the xecutive irector HR and HR colleagues to develop and implement the HR strategy and annual plan. 2.5 Review, develop and implement policies, procedures and processes in relation to the employee life cycle. 2.6 To manage a team of staff. 3. Specific uties a. To ensure the monthly payroll is accurately produced and all real time information is submitted on time. b. To provide timely responses to payroll and pension queries. c. Support the xecutive irector HR in the development and implementation of the HR strategic plan.
d. To work with the Senior HR team to: Support the Groups business planning process and working with HR colleagues to ensure accurate, coherent data is developed. nsure robust performance management information can be provided. Provide support and advice on a range of HR, Payroll and Pension related issues. e. Advise managers on basic employment law, pension and payroll queries including company policies and procedures. f. Provide and maintain relevant management information to the Institute on a planned and ad hoc basis, developing a suite of data available on itrent. g. Keep up to date with developments in employment, payroll and pension legislation and best practice, knowledge sharing within the team to ensure continuous development and improvement in the service offered. h. To work collaboratively with all stakeholders and represent the department at directorate and corporate meetings as appropriate. i. Benchmark external best practice, within and outside the sector. j. Network and share resources where appropriate. k. Work with the team to develop best practice policies and procedures, management tool kits and provide management training on policies and procedures and processes as required. l. Any other task delegated by the xecutive irector HR as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job. 4. Budget Responsibility a. The post holder is not a budget holder under the Institute Group s accounting systems. However the post holder will be required to observe and comply with the financial regulations of the Institute Group at all times. 5. Continuing Professional evelopment The post holder will proactively take part in the Institute Group Appraisal process. The post holder will be expected to attend training and continuous professional development events and be responsible for their own professional updating.
6.
