1 Job Description Job Title: Department: Division: Grade: Responsible to: Marketing Officer - 2 Year Limited Term Appointment Department of conomic Development Marketing Administrative Officer (AO) Digital Marketing xecutive (O) Job Purpose To market the Isle of Man as a leading visitor destination and business centre by assisting with and delivering the Department s customer insight, marketing planning and digital promotion including website management. Main Duties and Key Accountabilities Market research Investigate, research and prepare reports on key marketing issues and undertake market research, competitor analysis, statistical and trend analyses as directed. Keep up to date with current industry trends through competitor tracking, own research and insight from manager Digital Marketing Build, deployment and analysis of marketing campaigns (around 96 s sent per year to over 1,000,000 recipients) Whereyoucan.com and visitisleofman.com marketing and content updates via website CMS, working with the digital marketing team and Business Development Managers Assist with the development of the new visitisleofman.com websites Weekly and monthly monitoring and recording of whereyoucan.com and visitisleofman.com marketing performance, marketing and social media performance. Periodic website testing through varying devices (i.e. desktop, tablet and mobile) to ensure all pages, content and user journeys are functioning correctly and content up to date nsure events and exhibitions schedule is current on our websites Assist with ventbrite event registration system Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database maintenance; keeping contacts up to date and refining data segmentation and conversion analysis (lead scoring). Survey creation and reporting using SurveyMonkey Planning Assist in the marketing planning for the team, helping keep plans and schedules up to date Updating the budget spreadsheet, assist with invoices and purchase orders Assist with the day to day activities of the Marketing team General Marketing Assist with image requests, video footage requests, presentation formatting and logo supply To liaise with specialist marketing agencies and contractors as directed To work with third party agencies and supporters to increase the reach of activities Contribute ideas for new campaigns and supporting literature

2 Other Duties Provision of Reception cover as required. Undertake any other duties commensurate with grade as directed by the Marketing Communications Manager, PR & Communications Manager or other senior manager. Performance Management and Improvement All Civil Servants have a personal responsibility for performance management. The post holder will be expected to contribute to their annual performance development review and interim performance reviews. The post holder will also ensure subordinates comply with the Scheme as directed by the Department of conomic Development. Regular meetings should be held with line managers/reporting staff and half yearly interim reviews are encouraged by the Department of conomic Development. These are specifically designed to deliver the aims and objectives of the Department of conomic Development. The post holder is responsible for ensuring that they understand their contribution to the team, the Department of conomic Development and the Government as a whole. Health and Safety The post holder will be responsible for their own health and safety and the impact of their actions on others. They will be responsible for identifying any possible risks or near misses to a responsible manager and/or the Health and Safety Review Group of the Department. Reporting Framework The post holder reports to Digital Marketing xecutive, within the Marketing Division of the Department of conomic Development. The Digital Marketing xecutive, as Line Manager, is responsible as Reporting Officer for the implementation of, and compliance with, the provisions of the Isle of Man Civil Service Performance and Development Review Scheme. As Reporting Officer, the Digital Marketing xecutive will ensure that in line with the timescale set out in the scheme, amongst other things, an annual: Personal Delivery Plan and a Personal Development Plan is agreed with the post holder; Review and assessment of the post holder s performance and competency/behaviours is made; and Performance and Development Review meetings are conducted.
