2 What is a Grade Separation? When a road intersects with a railroad at the same level, it is called an at grade crossing. There are two t d i Th t at grade crossings on Bowman Avenue within the project limits. When the road and the railroad are separated so that one bridges over the other, this is called a grade separation At a railroad grade separation.
