2 USER INTERFACES Tw user interfaces are used in the ELS NET SW: ne fr POS prcedures and ne fr setting up devices, parameters, privileges, resurce management, nline ccupatin Lcker rental / sales POS User Interface Present cards t the desktp reader; as many as max. defined r less; if wrng cards are presented they can be cleared during prcedure: Select a Lcker; nly free/unccupied are listed. Define time validity; calendar r number f Days. Enter custmer Name (ptinal). Befre charging it is pssible t give a Discunt r special price ( abgemachter preis ) Lcker inf A particular lcker reservatin can be fund by lcker number r by typing the name f the guest (if given upn sale). A click n the lcker number pens the prcedures windw. Card inf Basic infrmatin f ne card is (are) the assigned lcker number(s); if there are any; and the check ut date/time. A click n the lcker number pens the prcedures windw. Lcker lifecycle and reservatin states Expired Lckers which reservatins have already expired, but have nt yet been checked (made free) by the persnnel Expire tday - unlcked after hh:mm:ss Lckers which reservatins expire tday (in the evening), but have already been pened tday after hh:mm:ss; these lckers are cnditinally empty / available. This feature maximizes utilisatin f the system. Particularly when it is fully bked. Expire tday Lckers which reservatins expire tday (in the evening), and have nt been pened after hh:mm:ss. Occupied Lckers with valid reservatins; ccupied lckers

3 Lcker availability In the same view as the lcker reservatin state there is a reprt fr future lcker management. It shws all the lcker reservatins gruped by their date f expiratin and lcker type. Partial (daily) and cllective sum f available lckers (by type) is given, s planning is pssible. Prcedures Extending f lcker reservatins is pssible; Old reservatin is reversed and new charged fr. Seasn tickets are extended frm winter seasn t summer seasn and s n. Lcker Change is pssible t anther lcker number f the same type. Free lcker can made free by the cashier; it is put back amng the available lckers. Name - Custmers name can be changed. Clear/Change Cards Cards that are assigned t a particular lcker can be erased and/r new nes added. Unlck The lcker can be unlcked frm the POS SW in rder t check if it is empty; this is dne befre is it made Free.

4 Setting up POS parameters Web User Interface Pints f Sale are defined by using full dmain names f PCs where the POS SW is t be used. Printers and templates defined in the POS menu are used in rder t print ut a special custm defined bill. Template is used where pictures and text is added t the available tags (date, time, amunt, tax, etc. POS grups are defined and assigned t POSes in rder t grant / deny sales f ticket grups. Different Payment types are defined fr sale (cash, credit card, etc.) Different Taxes are defined. Passages are defined with the Lcker check engine in rder t enable creatin f Ticket Templates fr renting lckers. Lckers n a particular passage can als be accessed thrugh a Dr Access Terminal n the same passage. Ticket prperties Parameters: Passage with the available check engine. max. number f cards used max number f peple fr this type f lcker (Dep4=4, Dep2=2, Skis=1, etc.) Validity if the template is fr a seasn ticket Lcatin if different lcatins are used Lckers (numbers) which are rented / sld by this template. Services are defined by selecting the passage n which they are valid and the available ticket prperties n that passage. Services are assigned t Service grups (sale privileges depending n the POS grup; crss table). Items (fr sale) are defined by selecting the apprpriate Service and defining a price. An Item price is directly defined nly fr seasn services. Fr services which price is day dependant an Item is defined with n price. Additinally in Price List A prices are defined fr this Item with a day parameter; as many entries fr each Item as there are days fr which different prices are needed. Item Grups are defined and assigned t Items t enable gruping f Items in the POS SW. Item grups are seen as buttns in the POS user interface. Online mnitring and resurce management View Lckers All lckers in the system can be seen in the ELS SW as clured lcker drs - each clur represents a different state f a particular lcker (Vacant, ccupied, ALARM, warning). Lckers can be mnitred by previusly defined view grups.

5 A click n a particular lcker will list ut last 50 events n it. Reprts & Events Reprts f cllected cins by the cin acceptrs are generated; filtered by date. If event data is needed fr particular lcker a Lcker Reprt is generated. Reprts can be filtered by date, lcatin and lcker number. If event data is needed fr particular card, the Event Reprt is used; filtered by date and card number. SETTING UP ELS NET DEVICES Lckers Up t 32 Metra electric lcks - Lckers are cnnected t a Lcker Cntrller. Lcker Cntrllers are defined with the lcker numbers (lcks) that are cnnected t them. Reader Terminals Lckers numbers (unlimited) are assigned t Reader terminals which pen an assigned lcker if a valid card is presented. If a valid card is presented with a lcker ut f the range f the Reader terminal, the lcker number is shwn, but the lcker is nt pened Inf terminal Lcatins If there is a need t pen tw lckers (e.g. Ski lcker + Bts lcker) with the same card, the lckers are assigned the same number. If lckers with same lcker numbers exist in the system Lcatins are defined in the ELS SW and assigned t Lcker Cntrllers and Reader Terminals.

6 Netwrk Cntrller Netwrk Cntrller servers as a link between Metra NET (t which all the lckers are cnnected) and the PC where the ELS SW is installed. Cmputer name and COM prt are parameters needed by the ELS NET SW. Remte Unlcking by pushbuttn and at certain time f day can be set up. Daylight saving is set up fr cuntries where it is emplyed. Master Keys Master keys are used by the persnnel t unlck any lcker in case f lst cards, etc. Lckers unlcked with the master key can be lcked back (if wrng ne is unlcked) and later unlcked nrmally with the user card. They are defined in the ELS NET SW and distributed t the Lcker Cntrllers thrugh the Metra NET. Other settings T enable different user privileges in the ELS NET SW, Users are divided int 4 grups: ELS NET administratrs, ELS NET Supervisrs, ELS NET Pwer Users and ELS NET Users. ELS NET users can nly bserve the lckers - nline mnitring, while ELS NET pwer users can als use the POS user interface t sale / rent lckers. User list is built frm the NT user list (lcal r dmain). Users are selected frm the NT list and assigned an ELS NET SW grup. T grup/divide lckers int grups fr nline mnitring View grups are defined; e.g. First flr, Secnd flr r Standard lckers, VIP lckers, etc. Simple Access Cntrl T enable access t an area with lckers, Dr Access Terminals are used. Dr Access Terminal must be assigned the same Passage as the lckers (in the area) t enable access with valid cards. Time f day (ne interval frm t) limited access is pssible.

7 ADDITIONAL INTERFACES HTTP interface HTTP interface fr 3rd party (rental) sftware is available frm Metra, which enables reservatins fr lckers t be created, queried, and deleted. Active X interface Dem sftware with surce cde fr develpers is available frm Metra. It uses the TCP/IP prtcl, but is packaged in an ActiveX cmpnent with a dem prgram and surce cde available fr 3 rd party integratin. Simple access cntrl thrugh interfaces Simple Access Cntrl is supprted when interfacing, but with limitatins. Any valid reservatin will enable access thrugh Dr Access Terminals. There are n restrictins pssible depending n the passage (like first flr, secnd flr). RECOMENDATIONS & MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Cmputer System Cnfiguratin OPTION 1: Client Wrkstatin The perating system must be Windws 2000/XP/Vista 32-bit The web brwser must be Micrsft Internet Explrer 7.0 r higher, recmmended 8.0, screen reslutin 1024x786,16 bit r higher Netwrk must be Transmissin Cntrl Prtcl/Internet Prtcl (TCP/IP), ), supprt Dmain Name System (DNS) Tplgy must be Ethernet with the apprpriate netwrk cards and patch cables Netwrk must have adequate resurces t supprt system Cnnecting Netwrk Cntrller requires COM prt Cnnecting Metra Desktp POS reader and/r Reprt printer requires COM, LPT and USB prts Lcal updating and maintaining f all cmputer system drivers and utilities is recmmended UPS & surge prtectin with equipment warranty is suggested OPTION 2: Client Wrkstatin + Database Server Data security n the DB Server (if redundancy server is used).
