3 Requirements This sectin details the requirements fr implementing E2E Express. Hardware Prerequisites E2E Express requires the use f a Windws 7 r Windws 8 client, r a Windws 2008 R2 r Windws 2012 R2 server t hst the migratin management sftware. Prcessr Memry Cmpnent Disk Space Requirements Display Other Requirement Minimum: Intel Xen quad cre 1.8 GHz (x64) r AMD equivalent Minimum: 8 GB Minimum: 100 MB fr applicatin installatin and 2 GB fr database strage x 768 r higher reslutin mnitr DVD Drive, Keybard and Micrsft Muse (r cmpatible pinting device), Internet access E2E Express shuld nt be installed n an Exchange server. General Installatin Requirements E2E Express can be installed n the fllwing: Windws 7 r 8 client Or Windws Server 2008 R2 r 2012 R2 Server SQL Server 2012 Express R2 64-bit. The E2E Express installer can dwnlad and install SQL Server 2012 Express R2 64-bit (the SA passwrd is autmatically set t Passwrd1). Alternately, the installatin f SQL Server Express 2012 R2 64-bit can be skipped and an existing SQL Server can be used. If nt already installed, the fllwing prerequisites will be dwnladed and installed autmatically if there is an Internet cnnectin:.net Framewrk. The install will als activate.net if it is nt already activated. Micrsft Management Pack (PwerShell) v3.0 Windws Management Framewrk 3.0 (fr Windws 7 and Windws 2008 R2 installs) Outlk bit SP2 r Outlk bit if planning t use Outlk Prfiles t cnnect t Exchange. 4 Netwrk Requirement During installatin, an internet cnnectin is needed t autmatically dwnlad any missing prerequisites. An internet cnnectin is needed t view training vides hsted by YuTube. SQL Server Installatin Requirements SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012, SQL Server 2014, r SQL Server 2008 R2 Express If using SQL Server 2008 R2 Express, ensure the SQL brwsing service is running and set t autmatic. If running SQL Server 2008 R2 Express n a remte server, ensure that the TCP/IP prtcl is enabled and the TCP prt is set t See SQL Server Cnfiguratin Manager>SQL Server Netwrk Cnfiguratin>Prtcls fr SQLEXPRESS t enable TCP/IP Prtcl, and Prperties>IP Addresses>IPAll t set the TCP prt. Refer t the E2E: SQL Server (r Express) Setup Knwledge Base article fr additinal set up infrmatin. Netwrk cnnectivity t SQL Server Additinal Requirements The fully qualified dmain name (FQDN) f the SQL server. Install apprpriate Exchange security certificates n the E2E Express wrkstatin. Firewalls n the lcal machine shuld be turned ff r E2E Express shuld be added t the Firewall whitelist. T migrate archives, MAPIMigrate.exe shuld als be added t the Firewall whitelist. Outlk Anywhere shuld be cnfigured fr Exchange 2013 r If using Outlk prfiles, Cached Exchange Mde must be disabled. E2E Express will attempt t autmatically disable Cached Exchange Mde fr selected Outlk prfiles. If Cached Exchange Mde cannt be autmatically disabled, it can be manually disabled frm the Cntrl Panel by pening Mail > Shw Prfiles > Prperties > Accunts, and then duble-clicking the accunt assciated with the prfile and deselecting the Use Cached Exchange Mde ptin. Accunt Permissins Administrative accunt(s) require the fllwing permissins: Lcal administratr n the E2E Express wrkstatin Surce dmain accunt with full access t mailbxes being migrated Accunt must reside n the server where mailbxes are migrated Target dmain accunt with full access t target mailbxes where cntent will be cpied Accunt must reside n the server where mailbxes are migrated Granting Mailbx Permissins Belw is a PwerShell cmmand t grant FullAccess t all mailbxes within an OU where Finance is the OU and mapiadmin is the accunt. This must be executed fr all mailbxes in the surce and target dmains. E2E EXPRESS 3.0 REQUIREMENTS 4

5 Get-Mailbx -OrganizatinalUnit Finance Add-MailbxPermissin -AccessRights FullAccess -User "mapiadmin" - InheritanceType "All" Required Permissins fr Surce Exchange 2003 As Exchange 2003 des nt supprt PwerShell, the Exchange System Manager shuld be used t grant the required permissins t perfrm the migratin. By default, the security tab is nt visible n Exchange System Manager, at the rganizatin level. T display this tab, verify that the cnsle is clsed and then mdify r create the fllwing registry key: 1. Start Registry Editr (regedit) and navigate t the fllwing key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Sftware\Micrsft\Exchange\ExAdmin 2. On the Edit menu, click Add Value, and then add the fllwing registry value: Value Name: ShwSecurityPage Data Type: REG_DWORD Value: 1 3. Clse Registry Editr. Nw determine which service accunt will be used t access the surce mailbxes. This accunt MUST NOT be a member f Dmain Admins, as this grup is explicitly denied frm having read access t mailbxes. 1. Frm Exchange System Manager, right click n the upper mst entry (the rganizatin) and select prperties. 2. G t the Security tab. 3. Click Add, and append yur designated surce service accunt, granting it Full Cntrl. 4. Click OK. It may take up t an hur fr the service accunt t assert its new rights against surce mailbxes acrss yur varius servers. Restarting the Micrsft Exchange Infrmatin Stre service will frce these changes n that particular server. SQL Accunts and Permissins Accunts must be created with the fllwing SQL permissins befre starting installatin f E2E Express. If yu are using multiple accunts t cnnect t yur database, and Active Directry and Exchange cnnectivity, yu must grant the fllwing database permissins: Setup SQL Accunt This allws the SQL server administratr t retain accunts fr E2E Express that require the least amunt f privileges when the applicatin is running in a prductin envirnment. The setup lgin must exist prir t the cnfiguratin and requires at least dbcreatr rights, and can either be a Windws r SQL Lgin. dbcreatr rights Windws (Current User) SQL Lgin E2E EXPRESS 3.0 REQUIREMENTS 5

6 Applicatin SQL Accunt db_datareader db_datawriter db_ddladmin The SQL lgin accunt(s) must already exist in rder fr the mapping t be established t the database accunt using these rights. This is imprtant as these accunts and rights are applied when the database is created. If yu are using a single SQL accunt fr applicatin access, it will need db_datareader, db_datawriter, and db_ddladmin rights. E2E EXPRESS 3.0 REQUIREMENTS 6
