Pulsant uses a cre tlkit f quality server chassis and cmpnent ptins t prvide a vast range f pssible cnfiguratins but prviding that flexibility with the highest level f n-site supprt pssible. Spares fr all standard cmpnents are keep n site at Pulsant datacentres t supprt a 1 hur hardware fix guarantee. Included with the server is hardware health mnitring with the integrated lights-ut management hardware. Additinal mnitring up the stack e.g. perating system health, is included in the crrespnding Managed Server service. Fr mre infrmatin please see the Managed Server prduct. Pulsant prvide three physical server prducts serving differing requirements but built frm the same tlkit. Standard Builds Hardware Pulsant prvide a small number f standard cnfiguratins fr custmers desiring an ff-the-shelf apprach. It is recmmended that the custmer fllws best practise fr issuing further access if such access is required and nt cnfigured by Pulsant. Pulsant 2014 Page 4 f 6

5 Fr Windws based servers the Remte Desktp administratin methd is enabled allwing users with apprpriate credentials and access thrugh firewalls t cntrl the machine via the Windws Desktp n the lcal server. Fr Linux based machines SSH (Secure Shell) access is enabled allwing rt level access t the perating system. Nte: Linux systems are nt prvided with a graphical administratin methd by default. Fr VMware based machines access via the vsphere client applicatin is enabled allwing full cntrl ver the hypervisr. The SSH cnsle is disabled by default but can be enabled via the vsphere GUI. Supprt The extent f available supprt varies by deplyment mdel.
