A cpy f MS SQL 2005 Express (32-bit) is included with the installer fr evaluatins; hwever, using the Express versin will preclude the use f Retina Insight. Als, fr evaluatins it is recmmended that and Retina Insight are installed n the same machine. Once Retina Insight is installed the requirements fr Regulatry Reprt Packs and Cnfiguratin Cmpliance mdule have been met. 6. 3 Pre-Installatin Checklist Management Cnsle MS SQL 2008 Server SP2 (32 r 64-bit) Nte: The SQL Server 2005 Express (32-bit), included with evaluatins, will nly wrk n a 32-bit OS. If yu chse t use SQL Express and are using a 64-bit OS, dwnlad and install the 64-bit versin f Express prir t installing. G t and search fr SQL Server 2008 SP2 Express. Remember that using SQL Express, rather than MS SQL Server Standard r Enterprise, will prevent yu frm utilizing Retina Insight. Open Services and cnfirm the fllwing SQL Server services are installed: MS Internet Explrer 7.0 r higher Oracle Sun Java 6.0 SE Update 21 r higher (Versin apprpriate per yur brwser, 32 r 64-bit). Required fr every brwser that accesses the web-based GUI. Adbe Flash Player 10.0 r higher Cntrl Panel Prgrams and Features, cnfirm installed applicatins: Netwrk Cnnectin, Internet Access and Applicatin Access Verify that yu can see the machines that yu want t scan. Yu may need t disable firewalls fr yur scan targets r whitelist the Retina scanner. Cnfirm internet cnnectivity, DNS reslutin, and all prxy settings required fr internet cnnectivity. Verify that the IIS default web page displays withut errrs; pen yur brwser and enter lcalhst fr the URL. Verify that MS SQL server is running prperly withut any cnnectivity issues; yu may want t dwnlad MS SQL Server Management Studi and pen a cnnectin. Patch Management Mdule: Install the WSUS Administratin Cnsle if yu will be cnnecting t a remte WSUS server. Dwnlad the WSUS 3.0 Administratin Cnsle installer file: After the WSUS administratin cnsle is installed, start the cnsle and verify that yu can cnnect t the remte WSUS server.
