2 Ninth annual conference Patient Involvement and Empowerment TUESDAY 11 MAY HAMILTON PLACE, LONDON Our vision for the NHS 2015 will put patients at the centre of care... keeping people healthy, treating patients earlier to avoid future complications and reducing errors all result in a more people-centred, preventative, productive NHS. NHS : from good to the great. Preventative, people-centred, productive. Through a series of presentations, this one day conference, chaired by Jeremy Taylor Chief Executive National Voices, focuses on the challenges ahead as set out in the Operating Framework and provides important updates on recent changes in Patient Involvement and Empowerment. Sessions include measuring the outcomes of patient involvement in an NHS Trust; empowering patients to lead on quality improvement; learning from patient experience and the power of patients and users to improve services and practice. Delivering high quality services with better value depends on PCTs taking innovative approaches to their relationships with patients and the public. We know there is more to do to give patients the high quality care they deserve.we need significant expansion of the measurement of patients satisfaction with individual services, so staff can understand and improve the service they provide to patients. OPERATING FRAMEWORK FOR THE NHS IN ENGLAND 2010/11, RELEASED DECEMBER 2009 The conference features a series of workshops providing an interactive learning experience including LINks across health and social care and improving the patient experience which includes a personal journey.
