2 BACKGROUND NCVO s Annual Conference is the largest conference of its kind, attracting over 800 leaders from the voluntary sector chief executives, directors, other senior staff including trustees, as well as funders, MPs and civil servants. It is the leading voluntary sector event, creating a forum for sharing knowledge, learning from collective experience and building a stronger future. This year, the conference will bring delegates together to debate and consider the future for the voluntary sector. 72% delegates at CEO, director or trustee level 46% delegates have an income over 1m 2

3 OUR REACH As the membership body of over 11,500 voluntary sector organisations of all shapes and sizes, NCVO is uniquely placed to attract delegates from across the voluntary sector including organisations in social care, health, environment, housing, arts and culture, sport and education. With over 85,000 individual contacts signed up to our communications networks and over 2 million visitors to our websites every year you will have the opportunity to engage with these contacts through a range of integrated campaigns including , social media and blogs. NCVO s annual conference has always been a great platform for reminding charities of the ways in which we can help. 4 PROGRAMME The Annual Conference is a full day event from and is split into five distinct parts. Annual Conference Summit Keynote and plenary sessions in the morning, workshop sessions and discussions throughout the day, followed by a main plenary and keynote session. Keynote and plenary debates will celebrate the work of the voluntary sector, share NCVO s sense of the state of the sector, help delegates to think about the road ahead and feel inspired to face the future with confidence. There will be a State of the Sector address by Sir Stuart Etherington which will set the tone for the day. Past speakers have included Boris Johnson, Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, Oliver Letwin, Danny Alexander and Vince Cable. Annual Conference Marketplace A lively marketplace of 65 exhibitors will enable delegates to learn more about sources of support for their organisation. Annual Drinks Reception Conference delegates are invited to continue networking at the drinks reception. New delegates attending the annual dinner will also join the networking.
