2 The Food Manufacture Excellence Awards About the awards Now in their 16th year, the Food Manufacturing Excellence Awards are dedicated to recognising and rewarding the very best food and drink manufacturing companies. The Awards are unique to this sector as they recognise the manufacturing achievements rather than end products, honouring and highlighting the companies that have displayed innovation, progress and achievements in all areas of the manufacturing process. These include: new product development, business innovation, quality assurance, supply chain improvement, environmental management, process innovation and talent development. Who attends? As the industry s most prestigious annual event, the Awards are attended by MDs, CEOs, Operation and Production Directors, Finance and HR Directors from UK food and drink manufacturing companies. The food and drink manufacturers self nominate, providing a detailed entry documenting their achievements, based on required key criteria complying with the judging process. The entries are judged by a panel of independent experts, each with years of industry experience covering every aspect of food production.
