2 LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT Fellow engineers and colleagues, I would like to say Thank you for your support of our society. Our annual Myrtle Beach conference promises to be one of our best ever. This conference will focus on construction management topics related to the facility engineer perspective with a variety of presenters and experts in their fields. Vendors will be on hand show their latest products, technology, or services designed to make our jobs as hospital engineers more effective. If you haven t been able to attend in the past, attend now! You have been missing out on the latest regulatory and technical updates not to mention the great food and golf that Myrtle Beach has to offer. I want you to come, learn and share information and enjoy our camaraderie. If you cannot attend this event because of hospital travel or budget restrictions, please contact me ( ) by April 1. 3 GENERAL INFORMATION LOCATION The Brighton Towers at Embassy Suites 9800 Queensway Blvd. Myrtle Beach, SC REGISTRATION & FEES You must complete the Exhibitor Registration form in order to attend. Please see page 5 for more details. The cost is $650 for an 8 draped table, lunch for one vendor and Wednesday evening reception. If your company has more than one attendee, there is an additional $50 charge per person. The meeting s educational sessions are also open to participating exhibitors for an additional $100 per person. The fee to participate in the annual golf tournament is $160 per golf. See page 6 for more details. HOTEL INFORMATION Room reservations can be made online or by calling The room rate is $130+ per night for 1 bedroom and $210+ per night for 2 bedroom. To receive the SC Hospital Association Engineers Conference Rate, please use the code: HAE. Make your room reservations as soon as possible. The cut off date for these rates is April 4th. SUBSTITUTION/REFUND/CANCELLATION Any registrant who cannot attend may send a substitute from the same organization by resubmitting an updated registration form to SCHA with the name of the substitute. Notify SCHA of the substitution via fax at The registration fee (less $25 processing fee) is refundable if SCHA is notified of the cancellation no less than 14 days prior to the conference. No refunds will be issued past this time. No refunds will be issued for no-shows. SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS If you have any special dietary needs, please contact Kim Wooten at or kwooten@scha.org SETUP & TEARDOWN All booths are on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are no assigned booths. Setup starts Wednesday, May 4 after 2:00PM or anytime before noon on Thursday, May 5. Teardown is at 4:00 PM. Exhibitors are prohibited from tearing down before the set time. SHIPPING INFORMATION Please ship to Convention Makers - see attached form for detailed shipping information. 6 GOLF TOURNAMENT Arcadian Shores Golf Club Wednesday, May 4th Begins at 12:16 pm PARTICIPATE IN THE GOLF TOURNAMENT! This is an unique opportunity for SCSHE vendors to network with engineers. We will match vendors with hospital engineers of similar scores into foursomes. The cost to participate is $160 per golfer. If more than one vendor representative chooses to golf, there is an additional $160 cost per person. Beverage cart is included in your fee, so tell your server that you are with the Engineering Group. Although the hotel is only across the street from the course, please be responsible returning after the event. TOURNAMENT RULES On the golf format, we are playing best ball. If you are playing in a group of three, please rotate your extra shot. Rules will be discussed prior to tee time. We will have the longest drive and the closest to the pin on two holes.
