4 CREATIVE SPECS: What content is accepted? Cox Media currently accepts commercial content for use in online video ads through SpotXPress, a free, online media upload system for all Cox Media advertisers. Web-quality content can be provided directly to your Cox Media consultant via or other file-sharing programs. Both SD and HD content is accepted in :15- and :30-second spot lengths. Third-party in-banner video ad tags are also accepted. IN-BANNER VIDEO What file formats are accepted? Standard, Non-expandable Ad Units: 300x250, 160x600, 728x90, 300x600 (CDAN only),320x50* Expandable Ad Units: 320x250 (expands to 500x300), 160x600 (expands to 300x600), 728x90 (expands to 728x300) Audio Video Interleave (.avi) Apple QuickTime Movie (.mov) MPEG Video (.mpg or Mpeg) MPEG-4 Video (.mp4) Windows Media Video (.wmv) Flash Video File (.flv) Upload the highest quality file you have. From a quality perspective, you ll get the best results if the video meets at least these requirements: - Frames per second: 20 - Resolution: 640x480 pixels - Bit rate: 1 megabit per second - Length: No longer than about 30 seconds in length. - File size: No larger than 500MB What other guidelines should I follow? Cox.com: Rollover-to-play (ROTP) and Click-to-play (CTP) Play Modes are acceptable. Expandable Ads are not accepted on Cox.com. Visit CoxMedia.com/ProductGuide to view our Creative Gallery. CDAN Solutions: Rollover-to-play (ROTP) and Click-to-play (CTP) Play Modes are acceptable. Expandable Ads are accepted on CDAN Solutions. CDAN Solutions: There is limited inventory available for 15 second placements. 30 second placements offer more inventory. It is highly suggested to provide both 15 and 30 second versions to have the optimal number of sites and impressions for pre-roll video. All 3rd party VAST tags must comply with the VAST 2.0 specifications, must reference at least one VPAID or FLV file, and must be encoded with a maximum bitrate of 600 kbps. Digital Video X: It is recommended to provide both 15 and 30-second versions for video pre-roll running through DVX to ensure access to all sites. Ad tags are accepted on DVX, but must be secure. For Mixpo tags, simply adding the s after http in the URL is adequate.
