1 The following are technical specifications for all digital advertising opportes offered by Slack, Inc. including, but not limited to, Healio.com, all associated news wires, and all mobile apps. Slack, Inc. uses DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP) Small Business as the ad server for all website ad placements. Specs are in compliance with their software. Please visit the DFP-IAB compliance page for further details regarding ad impression delivery and tracking: https://support.google.com/dfp_sb/ ATTENTION: The details listed below apply to ALL digital advertising opportes unless otherwise noted on the proceeding pages Ad materials must be submitted a minimum of 5 business days prior to campaign start in order to guarantee timely launch. A 1x1 3rd party tracking tag can be submitted to track text, static and animated image ad impressions. Use of ad blocking technology and all related functionality and criteria on web ads must be indicated, in writing, to the Slack, Inc. team prior to launch of campaign. Blocked ads may not block impression in its entirey nor render white space image. must be user-initiated. For the puproses of this document, "User Initiation" is defined as follows: User initiation is the willful act of a user to engage with an ad. Users may interact by clicking on the ad, and/or rolling over an ad (or a portion of an ad). With respect to user initiation for the purposes of these guidelines, a roll-over is defined as a willful pause of the user s cursor on the target portion of the creative (the hot spot ), such pause lasting at least 1-second in duration, before an action may be initiated by the ad (i.e. trigger an expand, etc.). This pause/ delay prevents unwanted user-initiated actions, and false reporting of user engagement. Expandable banners must retract on mouse-off or click to "Close" or "X". Click initiation controls must be no smaller than 8pt font (11px) and no larger than 16pt font (21px). Audio must be user-initiated (on click: mute/ un-mute); default state is muted Video must include: Play, Pause, Mute (volume control to zero (0) output may be included instead of or in addition to Mute control) Percentage of CPU usage is based on the Publisher defined benchmark end user-cpu for its audience. Please consult with each publisher individually for their benchmark number for testing. FLASH Due to compatibility issues with Chrome and Firefox web browsers, it is recommended that all animated and rich media ads be created using HTML5. HTML5 ads must be served via third party ad server. Flash ads require SWF created with Flash 10.0 or lower & ActionScript 3.0 or lower, back-up image and click-thru URL (click URL should NOT be hard-coded in SWF file) A Click Tag must be implemented in the source.fla file in order to track clicks for Flash ads. For information on implementing this tag please visit : https://helpx.adobe.com/flash/using/best-practices-advertising-flash.html or For times when the user s browser does not support creative functionality (i.e. Flash, HTML5), provide a standard image file.
