The Pilates for Buff Bones Licensing Course is a full weekend course requiring full attendance as well as a short written and practical assessment. The Pilates for Buff Bones curriculum offers: Reviews and updates on bone health and anatomy The Pilates for Buff Bones workout and its methodology Effective cueing and imagery Options for varying challenge levels Modifications for commonly-faced conditions What additional perks arise from the weekend training? All who attend the training will obtain continuing education credits through the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA), the Pilates Alliance Australasia (PAA) as well as through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). What if I'm not trained in Pilates but am a certified exercise or movement specialist? If not trained in Pilates, you may still attend the Pilates for Buff Bones Licensing Course but are expected to be familiar with the classical mat exercises. How do I keep my license current? You must renew your license annually by attending a Pilates for Buff Bones continuing education workshop in person or online, at a small fee. What if I don't renew my license? If you do not renew your license, you must terminate all promotion and teaching of Pilates for Buff Bones. You may once again promote and teach Pilates for Buff Bones, if you pass the reaccreditation exam within three years of termination of your license. After three years have elapsed, you would have to retake the full Pilates for Buff Bones course and exam. Why is the annual renewal necessary? The renewal is important to remain up-to-date in this rapidly changing field of bone health. And we want all instructors representing the Pilates for Buff Bones brand to maintain a standard of excellence. If all your questions are answered and you are ready to take the course, please now: 1. Complete the registration form provided. 2. Once your registration has been reviewed, you'll be notified via . If accepted, you will be ed the Licensing Agreement to read and sign, and to scan and or mail back prior to the course dates. 3. Arrive at the weekend training course 15 minutes early. 4. Take the written and practical exams at the end of the training course to display your knowledge and understanding of the material 5. If you do not pass, you may set up a private review session and retake the exams for an additional fee. Online sessions and exams will be available. After passing the exams, you will receive a certificate and be a licensed Pilates for Buff Bones instructor for the next year according to the terms of the License Agreement you sign. 2

4 Teaching Clinic FRIDAY 6 TH MARCH REGISTRATION CODE CeRR1 9.00AM- 5.00PM This teaching clinic is an opportunity for instructors to experience the key concepts of Rebekah s work in action. No preconceptions beforehand, no knowledge of what's about to enter the studio. Kind of like reality TV where nothing is filtered! The first part of the morning will be spent with Rebekah elaborating on her approach to the body via the lens of fascia as well as viscera, bony rhythms, muscle activation and neural input, and somatic experiential movement, including the very latest understanding from Rebekah s recent participation at the fascia conference in Germany and her work with Gil Hedley s cadaver program. Participants will have the chance to explore key concepts of Pilates and movement in the way that Rebekah applies them. Then, over the course of the afternoon participants will watch these concepts in action while Rebekah teaches three client sessions, bringing the mornings studies to life in a real-time environment. There will be time for Q&A after each session. 5 Standing & Spiraling Full Body Integration FRIDAY 13 TH MARCH REGISTRATION CODE CeRR3 9.00AM- 5.00PM This workshop focuses on three dimensional standing and spiraling movements, emphasizing the feet and ankles and integrating the entire kinetic chain of the body through to the hands and head. Leveraging these movements establishes an ideal platform for prevention of bone loss and osteoporosis. You will leave the workshop fully equipped with new exercises to implement immediately, along with quick fixes to alleviate common ailments and a new lens through which to view and identify them. 6 ! General Information for participation LUNCH AND BREAKS Please bring your own lunch for each day that you participate. On the weekend there are not close by options for buying lunch so please come prepared. PilatesITC will provide light snacks, tea and coffee, water, and eating areas. ATTIRE You will participate in movement during the programs. Please bring or wear appropriate movement clothing. HOUSEKEEPING During the programs you will be required to turn off your mobile phone. Please make arrangements for not needing to be contacted during the program time unless it is an urgent. If you have any reason to need to be contacted (ie. family medical or similar) please discuss arrangements with PilatesITC administration. Pick up from either station can also be arranged in advance through our office. Turn off Pacific Hway into Bridge St, just after the large Mona Vale intersection at Pymble.
