1 Experienced Agents Property Licence Program (Victoria) CPP Certificate IV in Property Services Course Brochure The Australian College of Professionals conducts 5 day training courses for people to complete part of the CPP Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate), which is required to obtain an Estate Agent Licence Victoria and some other States and Territories in Australia. ACOP's courses are developed and delivered by current industry professionals and solicitors. This means that students are able to benefit from the analysis of real cases and scenarios and receive the most up to date knowledge of legislation and industry best practices. Experienced Agents Representatives wishing to obtain a Victorian Estate Agent Licence.

2 Unique Student Identifier (USI) If you are a student studying nationally-recognised training at a Registered Training Organisation like the Australian College of Professionals (ACOP) you are required to have a Unique Student Identifier from 1 st January The USI will give you ongoing access to your records and results, so they are always available if you choose to enrol in further training or need to show a future employer. A USI: is made up of 10 numbers and letters, and gives you access to an account that contains your training records and results from 1 st January 2015 onwards, and will help you provide evidence of your studies when you apply for a job or further study. For both in-class and distance education programs, calculators are provided for those students completing the Financial Management and/or the module. Outcomes At the conclusion of the training course and after the successful completion of all assessment tasks, you will receive an academic transcript indicating your competence in the units of competence required to apply for an Estate Agent licence in Victoria with the Business Licensing Authority (BLA).

3 Once you have successfully completed the course and all required assessment activities, you will then need to make application to the Business Licensing Authority (BLA) in Victoria for an Estate Agents Licence. The College will provide you with the necessary forms for this process. Program Content In order to gain an Estate Agents Licence in Victoria, there are a number of modules for which you need to be assessed as competent. These modules include: Sales Staff Management Financial Management Communication Skills Property Auctioneering Legal & Compliance Issues in the Property Industry Based on documentary evidence that you can provide to the College, you will be granted Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for some of the above modules. This intensive training program is aimed at those students who have sales and business experience and will receive RPL for the following modules: Sales Staff Management Financial Management Communication Skills Evidence of Your Experience If you have been working in the real estate industry for some time, you may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Recognition of Current Competence (RCC). This involves an assessment of your current knowledge and skills to determine competence against the requirements for the modules in the Licence Course. This process needs to occur for you to gain entry into this intensive training program. You will be required to provide evidence in support of your claim for RPL or RCC. RPL or RCC is carried out in accordance with the competency based principles of validity, reliability, flexibility and fairness. You can be assessed against some or all of the units of competence. The types of evidence include: Personal portfolio and resume Testimonials / Industry Awards References Workplace assessment Oral or written questions Workplace documents / diary Certificates/qualifications/transcripts Eligibility for RPL and RCC will be determined via consultation with one of the College Assessors. NB: All evidence for your RPL application must be received at least 7 days prior to your intended course(s). The Training Of the Units of Competency required, our College has grouped these into learning areas: Sales Performance Management Financial Management Communication Skills Legal and Compliance Issues in the Property Industry In recognition that many people have gained a broad range of skills throughout their time in the real estate industry, the College conducts the Experienced Agents course to provide additional knowledge and skills for people who already possess an underpinning knowledge in the Sales, Performance Management, Financial Management and Property Law areas. The College As published in the Victoria Government Gazette on the 28th October 2010, the Australian College of Professionals has been approved to conduct courses of instruction or examination prescribed for the purposes of sections 14 and 16 of the Estate Agents Act 1980 for Victorian Estate Agents. The College is also listed on the NSW Fair Trading

4 website as an approved provider of training for all categories of licence that are regulated by the NSW Property, Stock and Business Agents Act Our Registered Training Organisation identification number is Your Presenters There will be a number of presenters throughout the course. The College has a combination of solicitors, psychologists, licensed real estate agents, licensed business agents, licensed strata managers, accountants and administrators. This mixture of knowledge and skills enables the College to provide you with the highest quality training that will benefit your career in both a compliant and practical way. Enrolment Process 1. Complete our enrolment form. If you have any questions regarding the form, please contact us on Return the form to our office at least 1 week prior to course date together with payment for the course. 3. Alternatively, you can enrol online at and follow the link to Training Schedule & Enrolment 1. Complete our enrolment form. Once your enrolment and payment has been received we will post the learning materials to you. 4. Read the materials and complete the assessment(s). 5. Return the assessment(s) to our office. 6. Your assessment(s) will be marked and if successful your Certificate and Academic Testamur will be dispatched within seven (7-10 business) days. Expectations In order to meet the requirements of the course(s), you will need to complete all of the following: Attend all sessions of the course (face-to-face courses). Complete all competency assessments which will be undertaken throughout the course. Complete all take-home assessment tasks and return within thirty (30) days after course completion or by the due date specified in your Distance Education Package letter (30 60 days depending on course) If these assessments are not returned by the due date, you will be marked as Not Yet Competent and may be required to attend the course again or be assessed for Recognition of Prior Learning. Both of these will incur additional fees. If you require an extension to your due date, please contact the College to discuss your extension needs. Special Needs If you have any special needs in relation to language, literacy or numeracy support, physical access, food and beverage or any other issue, please note this on your enrolment form and we will make every effort to meet your needs. Course Fees Face to Face Distance Education Standard Experienced Agents Program $2,250 $2,000 *All course fees are GST exempt. Cost The total costs cover (as applicable): All days of training and phone/ support The provision of all learning materials Conducting RPL assessments for each participant Morning and afternoon tea (in-class sessions) Marking of competency assessments Issuing of Academic Testamur & Certificate Payment The initial payment of $1,000, which covers the RPL assessment component of your program, must be received no later than one week prior to the course date. Payments can not be accepted at the training. A Tax Invoice/Receipt will be ed to the address specified on your enrolment form. The second payment of $800 must be received by the first day of the course. A Tax Invoice/Receipt will be ed to the address specified on your enrolment form.

5 The third and final payment of $450 must be received by the time you submit your first assessment task. A Tax Invoice/Receipt will be ed to the address specified on your enrolment form. The initial payment of $1,000, which covers the RPL assessment component of your program, must be received prior to the issue of any course materials. A Tax Invoice/Receipt will be ed to the address specified on your enrolment form. The second and final payment of $1,000 must be received by the time you submit your first assessment task. A Tax Invoice/Receipt will be ed to the address specified on your enrolment form. Payment can be made by cheque, money order credit card. We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express payments. AMEX payments incur a 3% surcharge. Refund Policy please note There are no refunds for cancellations less than 24 hours prior to commencement of the training. For cancellations less than fourteen (14) days prior to the training course, the College will transfer your enrolment to another date but no refund will apply. If you cancel the transferred course, no refund will apply. For cancellations more than fourteen (14) days prior to the training course, an administration fee of 20% of the course fee will apply. For course transfers less than 24 hours prior to the commencement of the training, an administration fee of 50% of the course fee will apply. ACOP reserves the right to cancel courses due to unforeseen circumstances and/or if minimum course numbers are not reached. Students will be offered a full refund for any course fees paid for the cancelled course or have their course fee credited towards another ACOP course. A full refund will apply for cancellations made prior to course materials being issued. No refunds apply after course materials have been issued.
