APPENDIX 1 POSITION DESCRIPTION Employee: Manager: Position: Level 5-6) Location: Reports to: Purpose: Principal/ Senior Asset Management Engineer (Career Progression Manukau, New Zealand Group Manager Asset Management To be an active member of the Asset Management Group (AMG) and the Auckland South Business Group. To assist the AMG in project delivery of asset management tasks, providing a variety of roading asset management services, ensuring that projects are delivered to a satisfactory technical level, on time and to both the clients and our budget. To assist the Group Manager Asset Management to undertake marketing and business development initiatives to ensure both a balanced workload for the team, and ongoing professional development. To assist in actively marketing asset management services, network modelling, and other related data services to clients within the Opus Consultants Northern Region, nationally, and internationally, acting in the capacity of providing assistance to the AMG, and others as required. To provide consultancy services to clients in the area of asset management, including analysis of road condition/maintenance and performance data, pavement deterioration modelling, asset valuation, pavement design and network whole of life strategic planning. There is scope in this position to provide asset management services to other work groups, and not restricted to only roading.

Person Specification 2. Experience Ideally at least five years professional experience in a senior role in either a relevant consulting or Local Authority environment. The length of time will be considered with respect to the relevance of previous positions with this role. Experience in contract management in New Zealand conditions Experience in the role of the Engineer to the Contract for works under NZS 3910 Conditions of Contract and/or ACENZ/IPENZ Conditions of Contract for Consultancy Services (CCCS). Worked in a high performing team environment with an understanding on how to keep this continuing. Has relational database knowledge in an SQL server environment. The ideal candidate would have a detailed knowledge for the structure of RAMM. Have a proven track record and be able to demonstrate the ability to successfully create, and execute SQL scripts. Hands on experience using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), such as ArcGIS. Particularly in the application of Asset Management. In arriving at the solution to solve a complex problem, using a combination of systems/packages to achieve this.
