1 Job title: Team: Reporting to: CQC Supervisory Analyst Methods Analytics Principle Analyst General: The CQC supervisory analyst will be expected to work as part of the Methods Analytics team dedicated to delivering analytical support to the Care Quality Commission. The role will be based in our office at the Electric Works in Sheffield where you will be required to work with a small team of analysts to deliver end to end support on creating Data Packs for the CQC to use in their inspection of all independent sector healthcare providers. The Supervisory Analyst will be expected to deliver work as well as support Analysts to enable production in a fast paced and challenging programme. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, hold quality in high regard and have a passion for ensuring that work is delivered to a high standard and at a fast pace. A high level of skill with MS Office is essential, in particular MS Excel and PowerPoint. All applicants will be required to manipulate and present data in charts and build reports to fixed timescales and be able to provide skill leadership to other members of the team. The supervisory analyst will also lead on the production of data packs for the independent healthcare sector and be the lead contact between the CQC and Methods Analytics to provide support and resolution for any queries arising from the data packs. The role will also require contact with the inspection teams to provide analytical support, pre/during and post inspection. This high profile role will involve advising and improving on existing processes in order to drive efficiencies and improve the quality of the data packs. It will suit someone who is passionate about taking on every day delivery challenges whilst supporting long term improvement. Supervisory Analyst responsibilities: Data analysis, interpretation and presentation Lead on production of data packs from end to end Ensure that a robust Quality Assurance process is followed through for all work Provide advice and supervision to members of the CQC team Manage the workload of the production of data packs to required timescales Lead on ensuring that monitoring data is captured to high quality and analyse data to improve internal processes and ensure delivery of KPIs Analyse a wide variety of NHS data sources for inclusion in the data packs Ensure that information requests are sent out in a timely manner and data is returned on time Lead on production of data packs and do the doing as well as supporting others to help provide analysis to short timescales Support analysis of other independent sector inspections as required Present high quality and accurate reporting of information about the independent sector Page 1 of 5

3 Communications Ensure that information requests are sent to providers in required timescales Deal with queries and questions from the Care Quality Commission management team Present data pack summaries to CQC inspectors Deal with queries and analytical requests from the inspection team, prior to inspection, during inspection and post inspection Ensure that other analysts working on the program are delivering high quality outputs, on time, every time Liaise with the administrative support for the programme proving support where necessary Support the Principle analyst with any requirements for analysis and programme support Work with the internal development team to ensure as much of the process is automated as possible Provide in hours monitoring of a shared mailbox and ensure a high quality response Business Development o Identify opportunities to improve the production process and feed back to the senior team o Work with the CQC to build efficiencies and improve the content of data packs. 4 Person Specification: Education / Qualifications Experience Essential Criteria A level or equivalent Experience of working in a leadership role or supporting others Desirable Educated to degree/masters level Analytical or health care related qualification Experience of working in a healthcare environment Proven track record of working in a fast pace customer focussed environment A strong understanding of healthcare delivery and quality Proven ability to work to tight deadlines Experience of managing multiple deliverables Proven team worker with ability to motivate and train others Experience of working with senior managers and leaders. Skills/Ability Ability to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences. Highly developed ability to use MS Excel and other MS Office software Highly developed skills to manipulate and present simple data Experience of quality assuring your own work and that of others.
