WHERE DC Alexander Park: 501 Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd. 5K Race Route is along A1A beginning at SE 5th Street to Sunrise Blvd. and back. Course certified by USATF. Paddle 2 miles in Atlantic Ocean along A1A coastline. WHY: 1. Start Thanksgiving Day off on the right foot (or paddle). 2. Get some exercise before the big meal. 3. The Buffalo Turkey Trot is the oldest continually running public footrace (established in 1896) in the United States, attracting 14,000 runners.
