2 Who We Are The Zydeco Marathon will be a USATF endorsed and certified full and half marathon, run on March 8, Runners will circle Lafayette, LA on a course that will highlight the best areas and attractions that our city has to offer. Our race team, along with the help our local city officials and police force, will provide runners with a fun, wellorganized, and safe event. As a USA Track and Field certified and sanctioned event, the Zydeco Marathon will be a qualifier for the Boston Marathon, New York Marathon, and other major distance running events. Also, proceeds from the race will be donated to local charities. Opportunity for Lafayette Tourism & Commerce The Zydeco Marathon will be a destination event that is expected to draw more than 2000 participants from outside of Lafayette with a total participation of runners in our second year. The expected economic impact is upwards of $4.75 million. We will encourage businesses along the route to participate in race day event by placing tents and/or tables up by the street to cheer runners. It is not uncommon for these types of vendors (or residents for that matter) to hand out snacks or offer drinks to race participants. This would make the race a community-oriented event allowing everyone to participate.

3 Marketing The marketing strategy of the Zydeco Marathon 2015 will be to attract potential participants to our website zydecomarathon.com for registration. Tools for directing customers there will include Facebook, Twitter, updates, online, print, radio, and television advertising, billboards, and flyers at local fitness clubs. Our race will be registered on MarathonGuide.com, a site that publishes national and international race calendars. This site is a go-to for repeat marathon runners and will be a major pull for out of state participants. Zydeco Marathon will also appear on USA Track and Field s calendar of events when the sanction is complete. We will also have a presence at other Louisiana running events, including Houston Marathon, St. Jude s Marathon, Louisiana Marathon, Rock and Roll New Orleans, and shorter local races such as the Cajun Cup and Cajun Country. Sponsorship Businesses in Lafayette are expressing interest in being a part of the Zydeco Marathon. We are structuring the sponsorship levels to provide opportunities for organizations of all sizes to participate. We are seeking a limited number of principal sponsors and many smaller supporting sponsors. Companies that fit our image are athletic supply companies, health/wellness companies, local beverage / bottling companies, as well as any Lafayette business that wants to be a part of something special in the community. No business is too large or small to participate.

6 Hydration Station Sponsorships During the Zydeco Marathon, one of the most important needs for the runners is hydration. In order to be successful, we will need 12 to 15 water and Powerade stations along the route. Items needed for each station include: (3) tables, 8 long (supplied by Zydeco) Water (supplied by Zydeco) Powerade (supplied by Zydeco) Sponsor Banner / Signage Cups (supplied by Zydeco) $1,000 per station Minimum 10 volunteers per station
