2 A GREAT SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY The Reaching for the Cure Run & Ride event is PCRF s largest annual fundraiser. What began in 1998 as a small walk to raise awareness, has proudly gown into a two day community event featuring 3 distance Cycling events, 5 Running and Walking events - with the unique option to compete in dual races to earn a Brick. The event starts and finishes on the beautiful Irvine Valley College campus with ongoing race day activities at the two day Finish Line Festival for families and the community. Be part of a select group of companies with direct access to a desirable demographic of 5,000 active, affluent and well-educated runners, walkers, cyclists, volunteers and spectators. This annual event is a Southern California must for fitness and recreation enthusiasts of all ages. A COMMUNITY INVESTED This community event has a unique identity and experience. The participants, vendors, sponsors and volunteers are all focused on confronting the challenge pediatric cancer families face every day - finding a cure. Cancer continues to be the #1 cause of disease-related death in children under the age of 15 in the United States. With less than 4% of government funding going to pediatrics, PCRF is helping fill the gap with 80% of all funds raised going directly to research. Our dedication, transparency and good governance has earned PCRF a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator - the highest designation a charity can receive. The Reaching for the Cure Run & Ride is our biggest fundraiser of the year. 3 QUICK FACTS Event Date and Time: Saturday and Sunday, March 19 and 20, :00 AM 1:00 PM Saturday Cycling Events: 15 mile, 35 mile, 50 mile Bike Tours Sunday Run/Walk Events: Half Marathon, 10K Run, 5K Run, 5K Walk, 1K Kids Fun Run Expected Participants: 4,000+ Audience Profile: Runners highly educated (65% reported earning a college diploma) and affluent (60% reporting a household income of more than $75,000). Average age is 39; 61% are female, 39% are male. Runners come from across the country: 90% from the Southern California area (Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Diego County.) 2-Day Finish Line Festival: Irvine Valley College. Race Day Activities for runner, walkers, cyclists, families and the community include packet pickup, race announcements, finisher medals, awards ceremony, exhibitors, food and musical entertainment; Sunday Kids Zone features petting zoo, bounce houses, obstacle courses, video trucks, face painting, attractions and more. KIDS ZONE SPONSOR, $10,000 Sunday s Expo includes a Kids Zone that is the highlight for families and kids on the biggest day of the weekend.
