Purpose and Who Should Attend The Continuing Education Program on Issues in Aging provides multi-disciplinary education and training in geriatrics and gerontology for health and human service professionals, paying special attention to the needs of a diverse aging population. Objectives Monday: Optimizing Physical and Behavioral Health in Persons with Dementia I. II. III. IV. To recognize and evaluate incontinence in the elderly. To understand the use of neuropsychology in differential diagnosis. To learn about the implications of personhood for caregiving. To identify potential benefits of hospital at home care relative to physical and mental functioning. Tuesday: Innovations for Older Adult Physical and Mental Health Promotion I. II. III. To examine the barriers and impacts of substance abuse on the older adult. To discover the capabilities of artificial intelligence in assistant technology. To demonstrate clinical effectiveness of comprehensive home monitoring services. Location, Map and Travel Information The Management Education Center is located at 811 W.
