LEARNING OBJECTIVES At the completion of this program, the learner will be able to: Describe the presentation of Cardiac Amyloidosis in adult patients. Review key aspects of current concepts in the management of heart failure. Describe the difference between Biventricular Assist and Total artificial heart. Discuss the safety and efficacy of cardiac rehabilitation for the heart failure population. List two ways telemedicine is related to ICU and stroke care. Explain nursing care for a patient having a Lariat implant. Describe three treatment options for reducing the risk of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation. Review the potential role for the new oral anticoagulant agents in bridge therapy.
