Describe characteristics of arterial, venous, and diabetic ulcers of the lower extremities during physical examination. 2. Discuss the diagnositic tests utilized to discriminate among ulcerations. 3. Identify risk factors for the development of each type of ulceration to include arterial, venous, and diabetic. 4. Discuss treatment options for each type of ulceration and how these treatments aid in wound healing. Discuss interventions to decrease the development of atherosclerosis. 4. Identify signs and symptoms of TIA and CVA related to atherosclerosis. 5. List common treatments for ischemic stroke. SUBSTITUTIONS AND CANCELLATIONS: Substitutes are allowed. You may cancel (except with group rate) your registration up to 48 hours prior to the one-day workshops and receive full credit or a partial refund (upon receipt of a written request, your registration fee, less a $25 processing charge, will be refunded). If you cancel less than 48 hours prior to an educational offering, you may (1) send a substitute or (2) transfer your registration to another offering within 12 months. Refunds/credits cannot be made if registrant fails to attend without prior notification. We reserve the right to cancel an educational offering if insufficient enrollment occurs.
