1 NATIONAL AMERICAN UNIVERSITY ARTICULATION AGREEMENT Effective Date: February 10, 2010 and Cffeyville Cmmunity Cllege agree t recgnize and frmalize a.cllabrative degree cmpletin prgram n the terms and cnditins set frth in this agreement. is accredited by the Higher Learning Cmmissin and a member f the Nrth Central Assciatin f Clleges and Schls, and is authrized t ffer baccalaureate degree prgrams n an academic quarter system. Cffeyville Cmmunity Cllege is accredited by the Higher Learning Cmmissin and a member f the Nrth Central Assciatin f Clleges and Schls, and is authrized t ffer assciate degree prgrams n an academic semester system. Bth institutins peridically review their academic prgrams and curses, student supprt services, and learning resurces. T allw students t transfer credits earned at Cffeyville Cmmunity Cllege t Natinal American University with a minimum f delay and disruptin in their educatinal prcess, the parties agree as fllws: 1. Articulatin. will admit graduates f Cffeyville Cmmunity Cllege's assciate degree prgrams int the Bachelr f Science degree prgrams listed in its undergraduate catalg, subject t university plicies and prcedures. Available prgrams include the fllwing: The Bachelr f Science in Applied Management prgram is designed fr individuals with degrees, diplmas, r certificates in specialty areas, such as merchandising, dental hygiene, electrnics, medical assisting, drafting, welding, r ther vcatinal areas. A minimum f27 credit hurs in ne specialty area is required t cmplete this prgram. Cmbined with business and general educatin curses, this degree prepares graduates fr advancement in management areas assciated with their specialty field. The Bachelr f Science in Applied Infrmatin Technlgy prgram is designed t prvide the flexibility t integrate specialized technlgy and skills int a custmized infrmatin technlgy prgram. It is intended fr iudividuals with degrees, diplmas, certificates r certificatins in specialty areas, such as infrmatin technlgy, cmputer science, prgramming, netwrks, cmputer-aided design and cl!atabase, and ther related areas. A minimum f27 credit hurs in ne specialty area is required t cmplete this prgram. This degree prepares graduates fr advancement in management r technical areas assciated with their specialty field. In each f these prgrams, studell\ts have the ptin t: (1) transfer credit frm the surce f the specialty training, r (2) create a specialty area using apprved curses. 2. Blck Transfer Plicy. (a) Nati nal American University's blck transfer plicy (General Educatin Equivalency) applies t all bachelr's degree prgrams with the exceptin f the fllwing: Athletic Training, Nursing, and the Applied Management prgram ffered in Kansas. All transfer curse wrk must be cllege level (1000-level r abve). (b) Blck transfer des nt apply t students attending Minnesta r Texas campuses. If students were eligible fr blck transfer n enrllment, a subsequent change f degree prgram request will initiate the reevaluatin f eligibility fr blck transfer in the new degree prgram. 2 (c) Students wh have earned a bachelr's r assciate degree, regardless f the type, with the equivalent f at least 50 quarter credit hurs f general educatin curses, meet the requirements fr 's general educatin cre area available fr blck transfer. (d) Students wh have earned an Assciate f Arts (AA), Assciate f Science (AS), Assciate f Applied Science (AAS), Assciate f General Studies degree r a technical Bachelr f Applied Science degree frm an accredited institutin may be eligible fr blck transfer in the university's Bachelr f Science in Applied Management and Bachelr f Applied Science in Applied Infrmatin Technlgy degree prgrams if sufficient transfer credits are available. 3. Term. The term f this agreement shall cmmence n the effective date indicated n the first page. This agreement may be terminated by either party's prviding t the ther party at least ninety (90) days' written ntice f its intent t terminate. 4. Cntinuing Duties. Upn terminatin f this agreement, will cntinue t perfrm the duties and respnsibilities set frth abve fr any student wh has cmmenced a Bachelr f Science degree prgram but nt cmpleted it at the terminatin date. 5. Amendment. This agreement may be amended by a written dcument signed by bth parties. Signed in duplicate n the date(s) set frth belw. Obligatins f Cffeyville Cmmunity Cllege Cffeyville Cmmunity Cllege will supprt NAU cmmunicatins effrts regarding its academic prgrams in a manner cnsistent with its plicies and prcedures: Cffeyville Cmmunity Cllege will arrange fr presentatins by NAU admissins staff t ymplyees at staff meetings up t tw times per year. Cffeyville Cmmunity Cllege will distribute materials explaining the benefits fnau graduate prgrams. Cffeyville Cmmunity Cllege will facilitate NAU-spnsred events fr emplyees, as agreed by the parties. Cffeyville Cmmunity Cllege will verify the emplyment f its staff t cnfirm the eligibility f schlarship recipients. Cffeyville Cmmunity Cllege will assign a primary cntact (i.e., a human resurce ffice representative) t wrk with the NAU Affiliate Admissins Crdinatr in rder t effectively realize benefits assciated with the Affiliate Graduate Prgram. It is the respnsibility f the Cffeyville Cmmunity Cllege-affiliated learner t identify themselves t NAU and cmplete schlarship frms in a timely manner, and t satisfy any ther requirements identified by NAU in rder t be awarded the specified tuitin.schlarship. Membership in the Affiliate Graduate Educatin Prgram will be in effect fr ne year and will autmatically be renewed thereafter. Either party may terminate participatin in the prgram withut penalty with 60-days written ntice.
