This curse enables individuals t specialise in Netwrking after the cmpletin f ICT30115 Certificate III in Infrmatin, Digital Media & Technlgy. 2. Curse Outcmes This curse prvides students with the necessary skills fr the fllwing purpses: T undertake wrk as an ICT specialist in cmputer netwrking. Pssible jb titles relevant t this qualificatin include: Netwrk administratr, IT administratr, IT peratins administratr, Netwrk services administratr, Netwrk supprt crdinatr, Netwrk peratins analyst, Netwrk security crdinatr, Netwrk e-business crdinatr T facilitate access t emplyment including setting up a small business As a precursr t studies at ther educatinal institutins. 3. Overview This qualificatin is fully cmpetency-based. The curses will invlve classrm-based delivery, wrkshps, an nline cmpnent and extensive practical pprtunities t cnslidate skills learnt. 4. Duratin The Diplma f Infrmatin Technlgy Netwrking curse is studied ver a full year which invlves 40 weeks f frmal tuitin. The general intakes fr the Diplma curse are in February and July. 5. Csts 2016 VET FEE-HELP is available t eligible students fr this curse. A VET FEE-HELP lan can cver all r part f the curse fee. Eligible students include Australian citizens, Permanent Humanitarian Visa Hlders and sme New Zealand citizens. 3 Diplma f Infrmatin Technlgy Netwrking 7. Training Prcess The Diplma curse entails a minimum f 20 hurs f face t face training, including classrm tuitin, wrkshps and hands n experience. In additin students will have a range f requirements fr ut f classrm study and activities, including an nline cmpnent. Unity Cllege Australia uses a wide variety f training methds which will be adapted t the class cntext. Unity Cllege Australia adpts adult-learning principles. Participants in this prgram are therefre expected t take charge f their wn learning prcess. It is expected that each selected participant will be cmmitted t meeting the requirements f the relevant curse and will attend relevant classes and activities and cmplete all wrk required fr assessment. 8. Curse Structure This qualificatin will be taught ver a ne year perid using seven mdules. The first fur and last three mdules are standalne thus enabling students t jin the curse at the beginning f the year r mid year. Tpics cvered include an in-depth study f Netwrking Enterprises, Netwrking Security, Enterprise Cmmunicatins, Netwrking Prjects, Being Ethical in IT, Sustainability with Server Virtualisatin and Netwrking Basics.
