2 OHSU is pleased to present the 27 th Annual Northwest States Trauma Conference. Nationally recognized faculty will provide the most up-to-date information about care of the injured patient, including trauma care during the pre-hospital, resuscitative, operative, critical care and recovery phases. The target audience for this conference is physicians, nurses and allied health professionals. Our distinguished national guest speakers this year include Dr. Todd Maxson from the University of Arkansas, Dr. Randy Chesnut from the University of Washington and Dr. John Holcomb from the University of Texas. Portland, OR FFS /16 Advanced Trauma Life Support Refresher Course for Physicians The Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course teaches a systematic, concise approach to the early care of the trauma patient. This course is vital to guiding care for the injured patient in Emergency Department trauma resuscitation rooms. The course training provides a common language that can save lives in a critical situation. The ATLS refresher course is a half-day class that provides providers the opportunity to maintain their current status. The course consists of content overviews, triage scenarios and written and practical tests. This refresher course is for those with a current or recently expired ATLS status who are within their six-month grace period. The course will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This course will be offered during the 27th Annual Northwest States Trauma Conference.
