2 The Ohio State University s Second Annual Valve and Structural Heart Disease Conference: Transcatheter Management of Aortic Valve Disease Target Audience: Cardiovascular Surgeons, Cardiologists, Primary Care Physicians and Nurses This one-day symposium will familiarize the Cardiovascular Surgeon, Cardiologist, Primary Care Physician and Nurse with new state-of-theart-catheter-based therapies for the treatment of senile degenerative calcifi c aortic valve stenosis. Following completion of this course, the participant will clearly understand who are candidates for this revolutionary new treatment modality for valvular heart disease. A live case presentation of a valve implant will illustrate the technical aspects of the procedure as well as the potential pitfalls and advantages of new catheter-based valve therapies.
