Three Pricing Optins: Retail Cmmercial Base Pricing (CBP) Cmmercial Plus Pricing (CPP) Nte: Pririty Mail items mailed under a specific custmer agreement are charged accrding t the individual agreement. 7

9 Retail Pricing Prices Charged Per Piece (Retail) Items are charged the 1.0 pund price fr weights up t 1.0 pund (i.e. If a piece weighs 0.25 pund, the weight (pstage) increment is 1.0 pund). Items mailed in USPS-prduced Pririty Mail Flat Rate packaging is charged ne flat price regardless f weight (up t 70 punds) r dmestic destinatin. Only USPS-prduced Flat Rate packaging is eligible fr the Pririty Mail Flat Rate price. Retail Pririty Mail pstage may be paid by adhesive stamps (DMM ) r pstage meter (DMM ). 9

10 Cmmercial Base/Plus The Pstal Service ffers Cmmercial Base Pricing and Cmmercial Plus Pricing fr custmers wh ship Pririty Mail thrugh apprved methds. Cmmercial Plus prices are available t custmers whse cumulative accunt vlume exceeds a cmbined ttal f: 5,000 letter-size and flat-size pieces (including Flat Rate Envelpes, but nt the Padded Flat Rate Envelpe) r 50,000 ttal pieces in the previus calendar year (except Pririty Mail Open and Distribute) Must have a custmer cmmitment agreement USPS (New Pririty Mail custmers see 1.3.2) These mailpieces are identified with the markings Cmmercial Base r Cmmercial Plus n the shipping label. 10

12 Cubic Pricing Pririty Mail Cmmercial Plus Cubic Pricing Prices are nt based n weight, but are charged per cubic measurement f the mailpiece and zne Each mailpiece must measure.50 cubic ft r less, weigh 20 punds r less, and the lngest dimensin may nt exceed 18 inches May nt be rlls r tubes There are tw different methds fr determining the cubic tier: Rectangular and Nnrectangular Parcels Sft Pack and Padded Envelpes 12

13 Pririty Mail Dimensinal Weight Calculatin Determining Pririty Mail Dimensinal Weight Pririty Mail dimensinal weight fr rectangular shaped parcels t znes Measure the length, width, and height in inches. Rund ff each measurement t the nearest whle inch: (length = 21, height = 20, and width = 20) 2. Multiply length x height x width: (21 x 20 x 20) = 8,400 cubic inches. 3. If the result exceeds 1,728 cubic inches, divide the result by 194 and rund up t the next whle number t determine dimensinal weight in punds:(8,400/194 = 43.29) runded up t the next pund is The price is based n the actual weight r dimensinal weight, whichever is greater. 19 Pririty Mail Military Optin Military Under the Pririty Mail Military Service (PMMS) agreement, mail addressed t Military persnnel r sent by Military persnnel (see DMM ) is delivered t the recipient within a 2 r 3 day expected delivery. The Pstal Service als ffers a $2.00 military discunt when Pririty Mail packages are sent t an APO/FPO ZIP Cde. The discunt is applied autmatically based n the APO/FPO address when either a flat rate, nn flat rate, r special military bxes are used Addressing Bxes: D nt send mail addressed t "Military Mail" r "any sldier" r "any sailr" r "any service member," r any ther frmulatin that des nt name a specific individual. Such mailpieces will be rejected and returned t the sender. 19

Packages are picked up n the next r scheduled delivery day by carrier. N charge is assessed fr Package Pickup when the mail is picked up during the carrier s line f travel. Cllectin Service This service usually refers t prepaid mail depsited in a cllectin bx. Hwever, it is als cnsidered cllectin service when custmers hand their utging, prepaid mail t a USPS carrier r ther designated emplyee that is perfrming nrmal delivery and cllectin duties. Pickup On Demand Allws custmers t set up a ne time, weekly, r daily pickup time at their lcatin within a tw hur pickup windw fr a fee. Dates, times, and payments may all be entered at USPS.cm. Custmers can schedule pickups up t ne year in advance. N Fee Pickup Requires a signed N Fee Pickup Service Agreement (PS Frm 5543) between the custmer and the Pstal Service fr weekly recurring pickups meeting the minimum vlume threshld f the seven qualified items per pickup. 29

Features & Benefits Pstage paid is based n weight f the cntents f the cntainer, rather than vlume. Using the Pririty Mail netwrk expedites shipments t be distributed at their final destinatin.
