3 Dmainz Name Hlder ID When yu register yur dmain name with Dmainz we issue yu an ID and Name Hlder passwrd fr security. Yu can use this Name Hlder ID and Name Hlder passwrd t lgin t yur accunt thrugh the Dmainz website t: View yur accunt details Make payments Update address details Check renewal/expiry dates Register new names fr.nz and ther types f names Manage yur Dmainz hsting and services Mdify the name servers fr yur dmain name Mve yur dmain name between hsting prviders (Re-delegate) Quting yur ID and/r passwrd when yu phne us will help us knw wh yu are, allwing a secure means f authrizing certain types f changes. A Name Hlder ID is an 8 digit number als knwn as yur custmer ID. Yu shuld keep yur Name Hlder ID Safe and yu shuld nt generally supply it t external parties. SECURITY WARNING Yur Name Hlder Passwrd is like a Bank Pin and shuld be kept secure: If a party has requested that yu make changes t a name server, perfrm a redelegatin r change hsting prviders and yu d nt feel cmfrtable prviding yur Name Hlder passwrd t them, cntact the Dmainz Team fr assistance. 4 Unique Dmain Authenticatin Identifier (UDAI) Each dmain name has a UDAI (Unique Dmain Authenticatin ID.) This will have been ed t yu when yu did ne f the fllwing things: When yu first registered a.nz dmain name When yu changed Registrar fr a.nz dmain name When yu changed the Name Hlder fr a.nz dmain name A UDAI is 8 characters lng and is made up f bth number and letters, in upper and lwer case, and is case sensitive. 5 Dmainz Address Lg-in Fr Each Dmainz address yu set-up, there will be a unique POP Accunt User Name and Passwrd. Fr Quick Start s: Yur User Name will be the FULL address Yur Passwrd will be 6-10 alphanumeric characters and will be sent ut initially by the autmatic system. Fr Premier s: Yur User Name will be the USER ID set in the Cntrl Panel and will be whatever yu have BEFORE symbl. i.e. example@dmainz.net.nz (user ID is example ) Yur Passwrd will be set by yu r yur administratr and will be at least six characters lng and must include at least ne numeric character. Dmainz Quick-Start Web Mail Lg-In If yu have any f the Dmainz Quick-Start and Hsting Slutins r the Dmainz Only Packages, yu will als have access t Dmainz Quick Start Web Mail. Access Dmainz Web Mail lg-in at: Fr Dmainz Web Mail the User Name will always be yur address The passwrd will be 6-10 alphanumeric characters Please visit the help file fr setting up the Quick Start accunts in a mail client (such as Outlk). Dmainz Premier Web Mail Lg-In If yu have any f the Dmainz Premier and Hsting Slutins such as the COMMUNICATOR r SIGNATURE STARTER, yu will als have access t Dmainz Premier Web Mail. 6 Dmainz FTP Passwrd (File Transfer Prtcl) When yu want t publish infrmatin, pages and images t yur web site, yu will use a prcess called FTP If yu have any f the fllwing hsting slutins with Dmainz, yu will als have an FTP Passwrd: A Dmainz Quick-Start Web and Package, r A Dmainz Premier Hsting Package. This includes the COMMUNICATOR plan which is html-nly and des nt include anything extra like FrntPage Server Extensins. When yu want t uplad yur website cntent t the Internet yu will need t use an FTP prgram t d this. Fr Quick Start Packages: Fr FTP the User Name will always be yur dmain name. Fr FTP the passwrd will be 6-10 alphanumeric characters Fr Premier Packages: Fr FTP the User Name will be the main User ID f yur hsting package Fr FTP the passwrd will be the main passwrd f yur hsting package.
