5 Ntes regarding requirements frm specific accreditatin rganizatins: ABET: All engineering and technlgy prgrams ffered n bth campuses and accredited by ABET will need t unify curricula. ABET assured us there will be n lapses in accreditatin and they will wrk with us t insure that required ntificatins are cmpleted ver the next few year. There are several ntificatins that must be submitted at different pints in the unificatin prcess. See bullets belw. Submit a cpy f the HLC Change f Cntrl (submitted by PUC-) t ABET as sn as it is sent t the HLC in. ABET needs t be ntified fficially f the name change in Fall f 2016 after frmal unificatin and creatin f PNW. Department Heads and faculty must select an end date fr each prgram that is t be aligned with the expectatin that the end date be n later than the extended accreditatin cycle (prbably 2018). ABET will wrk with PNW s that students in the currently accredited prgrams are nt affected. By the Fall 2016, make fficial request t all ABET s cmmissins fr extensins f Next General Review fr all prgrams and pssibly permanent change t NGR cycle t The latest self-study reprts are t be as templates t submit a change during accreditatin request, using revisins t the self-study after alignment f prgrams as ne degree prgram in PNW. The revisin shuld clearly incrprate hw the key elements f the accredited prgram frm the mst recent (including ) are incrprated int the new merged prgrams. ABET wants t make sure that after unificatin, there will be n significant effect n budget, faculty, admissin requirements, etc. ACEN: Nursing prgrams are bth accredited by ACEN and must ntify ACEN f unificatin in Spring f The Indiana State Bard f Nursing (ISBN) requires the baccalaureate prgrams t unify curricula and present the new curricula t the ISBN fr apprval. Still seeking further clarificatin frm ISBN n deadline fr submitting this. AACSB: Purdue Calumet is awaiting utcme f initial AACSB accreditatin. If accredited, all business prgrams that are ffered n bth campuses must unify curricula. Deadline wuld be by the next accreditatin in. ACBSP: The baccalaureate and masters prgrams within the Cllege f at were granted initial accreditatin in The prgrams will transitin t AACSB ver the next five years in time fr the next accreditatin. This will necessitate crdinatin f curriculum. CAEP: Currently, the prgrams ffered in Educatin are different at each campus. CAEP will prvide clarificatin after the reaccreditatin at PUC in fall f regarding ntificatin f PNW and pssible required unificatin f prgrams and timeline fr this. 5
