2 Conference Information Who Should Attend This program is designed for pediatric nurses, school nurses, counselors and allied health professionals caring for children with diabetes. Accreditaion This program is sponsored by Akron Children s Hospital, an approved provider for continuing education. Applications have been submitted to: * Ohio Nurses Association (OBN ), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Commission on Accreditation * Commission on Dietetic Registration for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Registration Cost is $30. Due to limited space, participants will be accepted by the date registration forms are received. All attendees MUST submit a registration form. Conference Objective To enhance healthcare professionals knowledge of diabetes management in the school setting, including medical and nutrition management, acute complications, treatments, psychosocial concerns, mandated reporting and current laws impacting diabetes care in school.
