2 Course Description This course will provide case discussions on a variety of pediatric and adolescent orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. It also will examine positive outcomes and the complications that can result from common treatments. Participants will gain a better understanding of methodologies that help prevent serious complications from occurring. Course Objectives At the completion of the course, participants should be able to: Identify the etiology and consequences of developmental anomalies and injuries that affect the musculoskeletal system Apply critical decision tools to screen for and identify a variety of pediatric orthopedic conditions Describe accepted and alternative treatment techniques for a variety of pediatric orthopedic conditions Identify opportunities to apply evaluation and management skills in a variety of settings Accreditation is accredited by the Minnesota Medical Association to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
