3 Course Description The symposium will provide the attendee with a clinical update concerning all aspects of pulmonary medicine including lung cancer, COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, sleep medicine, pulmonary hypertension, ARDS, sepsis, and other aspects of critical care medicine. The speakers are all faculty members in the Critical Care Medicine at Albany Medical College and several are nationally and internationally recognized as experts in various areas of Pulmonary and. Objectives After participating in this symposium, the learner should be able to: Discuss new treatments available for COPD Discuss new treatments available for asthma Develop an organized approach to diagnosis of diffuse lung disease Identify which patients to refer for lung cancer screening Develop a systematic approach to the recognition and treatment of septic shock Target Audience This course is designed for general practitioners, internists, family medicine physicians, pulmonologists, respiratory therapists, nurses including critical care nurses and pharmacists. Attire The AMC Professional Image Standards Policy is in effect at Albany Medical College sponsored education programs.
