1 Español 2 Señora McNally Señora Welsh Bienvenidos a la clase de español! I look forward to a successful and rewarding class with you! I anticipate that we will have a great year! However, in order to do so, there are a few expectations that you must fulfill. Classroom Policies: - Respect one another - Be prepared, on time, and on task - No hats or hoods on your head. - No profanity. - No eating or drinking in the classroom. - No electronic devices such as cell-phones, ipods, etc. - Do not ask to leave class during the first or last 10 minutes of class. - Raise your hand before asking or answering a question. - Take responsibility for yourself and be proud of yourself and your work. - Have fun and make the most out of your Spanish learning experience Grading Policy: Your grade will be based on the following: - Classwork/Homework- 25% - Tests/Projects- 50% - Quizzes- 25% Required Materials: - 3-ring binder with notebook paper or a notebook and folder - Pen (blue or black) or pencil Make-Up Policy: If you are absent from school, it is your responsibility to make up the work you missed.

2 On my cart, there is an absent bin where your absent work will be. Please take your absent work as you walk in the door before class begins. It is also your responsibility to obtain notes that we took during class from a classmate. You have 2 days after coming back to show me the work you missed. If you do not show me the work, your grade will be a zero. If you are absent on a test/quiz day, you will have 1 week from the day of the test/quiz to make it up. If the test/quiz is not made up within that week, your grade will be a zero. Hagan Ahora: This is your Do Now. As soon as you walk into the classroom, collect your adbsent work if you were out, take out your homework/absent work and begin working on the Hagan Ahora. Do not ask to leave class during this time. During this time, I will take attendance, check homework, and give out absent work. Substitute Policy In the event that Mrs. McNally needs to be out of school for any reason, the same classroom rules will apply with the substitute teacher in the room. It is NOT a free day and all work assigned when I am out will be counted as a grade. If you are present on the day a substitute teacher is in the room and you choose not to complete the work, it will result in a zero and you will not be able to make up the assignment(s). Consequences I look forward to having a fun, great year with all of you! I trust that you will show me the same respect that I will show you. However, in the unlikely event that anyone chooses not to follow the aforementioned rules, disciplinary action will follow: Verbal Warning Detention Phone Call Home
