2 Do It With Class (DIWC) Do It With Class Young People s Theatre is a Regina non-profit performing arts theatre program that fosters theatrical skills in children and young adults ages Now in its 22 nd season, DIWC has won international acclaim for its high training standards and for mounting near-professional quality theatrical productions. Training for Excellence If you have heard of someone from Regina who has achieved fame in Hollywood, Broadway or one of the other world capitals of stage or screen, it is very likely that they are DIWC alumni. Tatiana Maslany and Broadway performers Paul Nolan, Matt Alfano and Jacqueline Burtney are only a few in a long list of DICW alumni who have gone on to build successful careers in the performing arts. But our success is not limited to the performing arts. Many of our alumni have also gone on to become stars in business, politics, academia and science. Our training has given scores of young people the poise, discipline and self-confidence to succeed in many walks of life. Invest in Success Operating a theatrical company of this quality is expensive. As a non-profit company, we strive to make our program affordable for talented young people from all backgrounds. We can t do it alone. Please consider what you can do to ensure that every child has the opportunity to become Regina s next Tatiana Maslany. Exposure In addition to investing in the success of Regina s youth, your contribution provides an excellent return for your community investment dollar. Our shows bring in an average audience of 300 per evening show and 450 per matinee. The season will feature 12 evening shows and seven matinees so we project a total audience over the course of the year of 6,750. Tax Credits DIWC is a registered charity so all sponsorships or donations over $20 are eligible for tax receipts as a charitable donation.

3 The Season DIWC anticipates another season of record crowds with our exciting line-up of theatrical productions. Alice in Wonderland This musical interpretation of the classic Alice story is a Regina original. The script, music, lyrics and staging were all created by DIWC s own Artistic Director Robert Ursan. This musical was first staged 15 years ago, with Tatiana Maslany in the role of Alice. We are pleased to revive this production in honour of the 150th anniversary of the publication of this children s classic. Three Penny Opera Our senior company is proud to bring this masterpiece of international musical theatre to Regina. This play is mainly known as the source of the jazz standard Mack the Knife. Originally written in German and presented here in a brand new English translation, Three Penny Opera portrays a gripping tale of crime, corruption and class warfare in 19 th century London. This play, considered one of the greats of world literature, remains as controversial as when it was written nearly a century ago. Seussical Who doesn t love Dr. Seuss? Seussical has been a consistent crowd-pleaser since it debuted on Broadway in This musical is not only fun to watch but fun to perform. We promise a highenergy production that will be a delight for the entire family. Grimm Tales The classic stories by the Brother's Grimm are brought to life in this production first produced at the Young Vic in London. Rumpelstiltskin, Cinderella, The Four Musicians of Bremen, and more of your favourite fairy tales will take you on a journey with the brothers Grimm into the bright, warped world of a child's imagination. A treat for young and old alike!

4 Meet Rob Ursan DIWC s Artistic Director Robert Ursan ranks among Saskatchewan s great artistic treasures. As a prolific song-writer, lyricist and playwright, he is responsible for writing, producing, scoring and directing hundreds of plays in Saskatchewan and across the country. Ursan can claim the title Impresario to the Stars as he has provided vocal and acting lessons to Tatiana Maslany, Paul Nolan and other accomplished performers who have graced professional stages across North America; most especially the Canadian festivals of Stratford, Shaw and Charlottetown. I would like you to know how excited I am about the upcoming season. No matter whether you come to the theatre for laughs or for insight, we have something for everyone in the season. From popular Broadway musical comedies to edgy, thought-provoking classics this season has it all. My colleague Andorlie Hillstrom and I have invested years of work and creativity to make DIWC a training ground that helps Regina s finest talent from all walks of life achieve their dreams. This package helps a classroom attend one of matinee shows by providing free tickets, a transportation subsidy and study guides. You can choose a class yourself or we can help you make a gift to an inner city community school.
