2 General Presentation 1 week professional traineeship in English Our professional traineeship programme for the Malta Tourism Authority (Erasmus Plus KA1 VET Staff Project) is a work-based learning activity for owners and key staff of restaurants in Malta and Gozo. English will be the language of communication for this professional traineeship. Through this work-based learning activity, the beneficiaries will learn how to find new clients in Malta and how to increase their sales through better and more effective use of their website. The professional traineeship will take place in Rome, within the main premises of SWEB SRL company, based in San Giovanni area, close to the city centre. All participants will experience the opportunity to be hands-on within the ICT skills sector, giving them the know-how as follows: Positioning their website amongst the first results on Google pages Increasing the contacts and the sales online Creating effective Pay per Click Campaigns Use Facebook and Instagram to increase their businesses Sustain a better image of their businesses

3 Professional traineeship Contents: Module 1 Module 1: SEO COPYWRITING Through this module, the beneficiaries will be hands-on on how to use the SEO techniques, to position their website for search engines, and how to write optimized content for their web pages, whilst focusing on these following areas: Information about the search engines Selection of strategic keywords of their personal website To position their web page, whilst applying the SEO techniques Creation of a web content as optimized for search engines Use of Google Analytics for screening of the website

4 Professional traineeship Contents: Module 2 Module 2: SEM Google Adwords This module focuses on the following areas, with the scope of being hands-on on how to plan a cost effective Google Adwords Campaign: Functioning of Google Adwords Selection of keywords for an Adwords campaign Writing of articles and advertisements to be uploaded on the website Preparation of a responsive landing page Campaign optimization and monitoring

5 Professional traineeship Contents: Module 3 Module 3: Social Media Marketing: Facebook and Instagram This module focuses on Social Media Marketing whilst being hands-on on how to use Facebook and Instagram as a tool to increase the business and the number of clients. This module will give you the opportunity to learn on how to use the strategy of communication and how to promote your business through these marketing tools, mainly: Choosing the right strategy for the social media marketing Writing a responsive post Planning an editorial for the social media marketing Enlightening the followers on the fan page, whilst increasing the engagement rate Creating and managing advertisements campaigns on Facebook and Instagram Monitoring and analysing the date of the advertisements campaigns on the social media
