Job Purpose 1.1 To create safe and sound Learning in Supplementary Schools/Madrassas. 1.2 To develop policies and practices and to achieve the above. 2. Duties & Responsibilities 2.1 To support the learning of pupils in Supplementary Schools settings. 2.2 To work closely and in collaboration with key staff in Supplementary Schools in developing effective policies and practices on Child Protection, Health and Safety and Teaching and Learning. Assist in providing training for Supplementary staff. 2.3 To develop links with mainstream schools for the benefit of the learners. 2.4 To liaise and meet with parents/carers on a regular basis and report on progress. 2.5 To work towards developing a network of Supplementary Schools for sharing good practice in each Supplementary School ensuring representation from women. 2.6 To facilitate and support the development of a Parent support Group. 2.7 To facilitate and support the development of a Parent support Group in each Supplementary Schools ensuring representation from women. 2.8 To liaise with and form effective links with other initiatives involving supplementary schools. 2.9 To ensure adherence to all Legislative, Statutory and Birmingham City Council policy and procedures in all aspects of service delivery Any other duties as commensurate with the grade and nature of the post. 3.
