The candidate should have Visualisation experience. You will have a strong portfolio that not only demonstrates photorealistic imagery, but conceptual imagery, evidence of large scale projects and a clear understanding of 2D post production workflow. n addition you will have experience producing animations/flythroughs. Successful candidates will possess the following key attributes: Fluent in Autodesk 3DS Max Excellent Photoshop skills ndepth knowledge of Vray Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and AfterEffects would be advantageous. DATE December 2010 PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Responsible to the City Design Manager and Conservation Manager in the creation, preparation and maintenance of 3D architectural visualisation work. This will consist of publicity, promotional and educational material including exhibitions, brochures, leaflets, posters, adverts and visual aids in support of the planning process, contributing to strategies, briefs, projects and design guidance documents within the framework of the City Council s approved policies, programmes and plans for the regeneration and enhancement of the City. DUTES & RESPONSBLTES 1. To create 3D modelling of architecture with/without CAD plans as reference in 3D Studio Max. 2. Creation of fully rendered 3D fly -throughs and walk-throughs. Static renderings, and associated lighting, texturing and rendering tasks. 3. Enhancing images using Adobe Photoshop. 4. Participation and contribution to joint design project teams to bring about transformational change by delivering a full range of 3D visualisation support. 5. Responsibility for the management and maintenance of the City Virtual Model. 6. The management of financial reporting of rechargeable hours. DETALS To support the Divisional and Service work programmes and for other Departments and agencies on a rechargeable basis n liaison with other groups, divisions, departments and, where appropriate, external organisations, prepare 3D visualisations for individual development sites. Within the Council s approved policies and plans, prepare 3D visualisations demonstrating future development and enhancement opportunities for areas of the City as required to support the planning process. Most major projects will involve working in multi-disciplinary teams Monitor and manage all 3D Sketchup models produced by the Design and Conservation Team, and outside specialist service providers, to update City Model. Prepare text, plans, drawings and illustrations for policy documents, design guidance, strategies, frameworks, briefs, reports to the Cabinet, Cabinet Members and Committees, leaflets and exhibitions etc., in consultation with relevant groups, divisions, departments and other organisations.
