To find out more information on RTOs and their scope of registration go to The NRT logo indicates that a course is accredited and leads to nationally recognised qualifications. Accredited courses comprise of modules, units of competency or whole qualifications from national Training Packages. This means that the courses are competency based and that you will be assessed throughout the course to determine if you have met the competency standards. To achieve competency you will need to: * actively participate in course sessions * complete assessment tasks and/or projects to the standard required for competency * be able to use spoken and written English to the standard required to complete the course work If you achieve competency you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment or nationally recognised qualification on completion of the course. All RTOs across Australia train and assess to the same competency standards so your Qualification will be recognised by employers and other RTOs throughout the country. You can enrol in an accredited course and choose not to be assessed. You will be required to demonstrate your ability in the skills particular to the unit of competency, and if successful, will receive the same qualification as participants who have completed the course. The accredited courses we offer will give you the edge in the workplace and are offered in various formats so that you can find a time that is right for you. Successful completion of each course will provide you with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment, or complete the required combinations of these units to receive a full Certificate. Courses are delivered in our training rooms at Cartwright and our Tutors are of the highest standard using material produced to help your training at every stage. We also offer online and distance study for selected courses Our VET Manager is happy to help you plan your program and provide assistance. support services The College has highly experienced staff able to help you with any problems that you may encounter in commencing and completing your course. Support may be provided by: * assisting participants who have special needs * adjusting participant learning resources to better suit your learning needs * providing additional coaching sessions * adjusting assessments for accredited courses * small group activities * tailoring courses to the needs of the client * providing additional assistance with literacy, numeracy needs An additional fee may be charged depending on the level of support required. 5 CERTIFICATE IV IN TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT UNIQUE STUDENT IIDENTIFIER (USI) From 1/1/15 anyone undertaking accredited training must have a USI (Unique Student Identifier). The College will require you to apply for one before it can issue any qualifications or Statements of Attainment. Go to and apply for one now. It will only take 5-10 minutes - you just enter your personal details with one form of ID (e.g. Driver s licence, Medicare card, passport, etc). Please forward the Successful creation of USI you receive to enquiry@macarthurcc.com.au. Please contact the College office on if more information is required. RPL - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Do you currently work in a training and assessment environment? Do you teach small groups or individuals? Do you assess in the workplace? Are you familiar with the vocational education and training environment in Australia? If you have answered yes to all these questions you may be able to get recognition for your current skills, knowledge and experience. You will need to be able to show an assessor your competency by providing proof such as supervisor reports, references, job descriptions, programs, session plans, assessment tasks, learning plans and certificates, etc. In addition the assessor will need to interview you and possibly conduct a workplace visit. Phone the College office to discuss your eligibility. If accepted a non-refundable $100 fee will be payable to commence this process. On lodgement of your completed RPL application, the remaining $865 fee is payable before the final assessment is undertaken. RPL FEE $965 (GST Free) TAE40110 Information Session Who should attend? Anyone interested in learning more about the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) This includes: * Trainers with current BSZ40198/TAA40104 who want to upgrade/convert their qualification * Representatives from organisations who want to learn more about the qualification * Individuals without a current training qualification. What will be covered? * Overview of new qualification * Explanation of the Training and Assessment options available through: * RPL * Gap training * Full certificate If you decide to enrol in one of the TAE40110 courses advertised through the College, your enrolment fee for this information session will be used as a credit towards the course fee. You will learn about basic adult learning principles and develop skills to be confident in delivering basic presentations and training. During the workshop you will be required to present training a number of times. Good communication and computer skills are required to enable you to complete this Cluster. This Cluster is also the pre-requisite for those without any adult teaching qualifications who want to teach general courses with Macarthur Community College. You will learn about the VET environment and creating training programs in a logical, sequential order that will meet the needs of your clients using Training Packages and accredited courses while addressing their language and literacy skills. Also covers Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) and training records. Good communication and computer skills are required to enable you to complete this Cluster. The new RTO Standard 1.14 (b) requires that from 1/1/2016 you will need to hold the TAE40110 (or its successor). Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110 LLN Unit TAELLN411 - Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills As a trainer and assessor it is critical that you can identify the language, literacy and numeracy requirements of the programs you deliver and the core skills of your participants. This course is designed to assist you in developing these skills to support them. This unit forms part of The National Foundation Skills Strategy to support and upskill trainers. AC3TE02WX $250 GST Free Cartwright PS Sunday 23 August 12 Hours 2 Sessions Barry Russell Certificate IV in TAA40104 Conversion to TAE40110 Workshop Do you hold your TAA40104 and need to update to the TAE40110? Iwant to continue delivering training and assessment you must update your qualification by 1/1/16. This one-day course will provide you with professional development to update your knowledge on the current VET Quality Framework, new Training Package format and other hot issues within the VET environment. To finalise your qualification you will need to develop a portfolio that shows currency. A checklist outlining details required for the portfolio will be provided in the workshop. No concession. AC3TAEX $180 GST Free Cartwright PS Sunday 13 September 8 Hours 1 Session Barry Russell Certificate IV in BSZ40198 Upgrade Training to TAE40110 This course is for those who hold BSZ40198, currently deliver training and assessment and would prefer to upgrade their Certificate through a combination of training and assessment pathway and RPL pathway. If you want to continue delivering training and assessment you must update your qualification by 1/1/16. To be eligible for this course you will need to be able to provide a certified copy of your BSZ40198 Certificate and a portfolio that includes workplace documents, references and supporting documents to demonstrate proof of current delivery of training and assessment. To complete the classroom workshops you will join and attend specified days of the full Certificate IV in Training and Assessment course. Upon enrolment, a discussion/interview will be conducted to determine the specified days you will need to attend and a timetable issued. The workshop s content you will focus on will cover topics such as VET, using Training Packages, unpacking units of competency, maintaining training records, identifying LLN requirements of training and assessment, using the ACSF, processing RPL assessments, inclusivity, safe training environments and assessment validation. Assessment activities will be incorporated into classroom activities but there will be some requirements to complete work and assessment tasks in participant s own workplace and time outside the classroom. Basic computer skills, and good literacy skills are required for this course. All course work will be provided via CD, if you prefer hard copy this is available for a fee. 6 ONLINE COURSES All applicants will go through a short telephone interview process before enrolling in this online course. You will need access to a computer with internet and an address. Participants enrol and pay through the College. Any individual unit/s ($190) or the full Certificate may be studied. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Current Competency (RCC) and Credit Transfer are available. Once you have enrolled, you will be issued with a user name and password and will complete your work online. A No Refunds Policy applies to all online learning courses once you have been issued with your user name and passwords, whether you have accessed the system or not. Certificate III in Business Administration (Medical) BSB31115 This nationally accredited course offers learning that is designed to assist participants to develop skills to enable them to work in a medical office. This course provides you with the theoretical and practical application of working in a medical practitioners office. You will undertake learning for 13 units of competency and complete topics such as preparing medical accounts, maintaining patient records, interpreting and applying medical terminology, writing simple documents, and developing your keyboarding skills. Other skills such as working with diversity and following WHS processes will also be covered. This course is completed via online learning which is accessed through the internet 24/7 in the comfort of your own home or workplace. You will manage your learning with the support of a Support tutor. The course may be completed as a full qualification, Clusters, or as individual units ($190). There are 4 suggested Clusters in the full qualification. NB: The total cost is $2470 however Federal Government regulations prevent us from collecting more than $1000 up front so we have set the collection of fees ONE UNIT at A TIME. A staff member will then contact you to register you in the online learning system. As you progress we will then collect each subsequent unit fee immediately prior to our tutor logging you on to the system with your user name and password. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110 This online training is the equivalent of the faceto-face courses offered in our brochure and on our website. You can ENROL ANYTIME and have 12 months to complete your training online. Certificate IV consists of 10 units which can be undertaken individually at a cost of $190 per unit.
